How he reminded me of Antigoal last night when he smacked over from 4 yards, even Forlan would have scored that....

There had to be some contact after he hit the ball by an Everton player in order for us to get the corner.

If it was v Liverpool you would be saying what a wonderful challenge it was from Hyypia or whoever to deflect the point blanc shot.

It wasn't a save and there was no corner. The only things that resulted from Ruuds miss was more frustration and a goal kick.

He looked relieved to have got that goal from the pen last night IMO, not the sign of a confident striker IMO.

Like I said, I think any contact with the defender was minimal, and he should have scored.
