Your initial picks cost you mate. As good as Anderson is, you could get him later. Boucher again, unless you're getting a gilchrist, de Villiers tier wk-batsman, no point going for one early.

I think the lack of a proper spinner cost me more. If you think about it, in theory with 16 players in the game, to get the 2nd highest run scorer, 6th highest wicket taker and runaway leader in dismissals - of all time Test cricket - that's a strong first 3 picks. Anderson probably wouldn't have hung around that long, Ponting & Boucher certainly wouldn't. But after that I just think other players in the game picked better than me. I can understand why Ijazz won but I still think I would have bowled his team out cheaply with such a long tail.

Not having a spinner definitely cost you. Seeing as Ijazz's ones were nothing special, a top spinner could have made up for other areas. Ponting was a quality pick, no doubt. When it comes to wk though, unless they're bad like say akmal, it won't really matter whether you have Boucher behind the stumps or someone slightly worse. So when you're getting a wk, pick one early only if you're getting the elite.

Never mind though, there's always the next draft!

If you don't mind me saying, I think you picking 4 Australians also cost you mate. It meant someone like Bravo had to play no matter what. But I still quite liked your M.O, thought it was good.

'Oye, they are plenty special. :nono:

Aye.

But as Chris said, it was his first draft. For someone who played for the first time, he did draft a solid team.
