Admittedly not watched a great deal of tennis recently but this Medvedev seems like a right dickhead. Thinks it's cool to be a bad boy but just looks like a little prick. Kygrios vibes.
He took it to 5 against Nadal when 2 sets and a break down in the USO final but this match feels gone.

Feels like no one including himself mentally prepared Medvedev for this match, almost as if he expected to just show up and Djokovic of all people will just roll over for him, in an AO final.

As good as his form has been and a decent head to head record, beating the big 3 in slam finals is an extremely tough ask.

That was so good from Djokovic, elevated his level for this and Medvedev couldn't cope.
18th grand slam and passes Federer for most weeks at no.1. At least he compensates a bit for that US Open incident and Wimbledon being cancelled last year, I think he can take one of those this year too if he plays like this

Disappointed for Medevev, but Novak was superb. Totally deserve this.

I think Medvedev was just neutralised by Novak. It's one of Novak's best performances for me. Truly great.
