I know other sports do post match interviews, but even watching these Tennis ones I find it far more intense for some reason. Not just today but in the past finals men’s and womans too.

I agree, it's a very tough position to put losing finalists in. Leylah handled it pretty well I thought.
 
Imagine her acknowledging some awful tragedy to a British crowd at Wimbledon. They'd probably throw beer and piss at her.
 
Neither of these two players were even alive when 9/11 happened. Way to feel old

Yeah, it was a bit strange the way it came across in the end but it was a nice sentiment anyway, knew what she was getting at but I would guess the adrenaline and occasion sorta got her stumbling through her words.
 
Where are Emma's parents? I didn't see her embrace them when she awkwardly went up to the stands.
 
So how many records has she just broke?

First to not drop a set at the US Open?
Guessing she's not the youngest to win it though?
