Telegraph Investigation: England Manager Sam Allardyce For Sale | Big Sam leaves England job

Wasn't he involved in something a few years back? Can't remember exactly what.

Some of the quotes from Big Sam :lol:

On Prince Harry:

Harry’s a naughty boy. He’s a very naughty boy, very naughty. He shows his bottom and all sorts.

Advising people how to get around FA rules on transfers can't be good for his job prospects.

  • Criticised his predecessor Roy Hodgson, dubbing him “Woy” and saying that he “hasn’t got the personality” for public speaking;
  • Said England’s players were underperforming because they had a “psychological barrier” and “can’t cope”;
  • Suggested that players who were not being played for their club should not be picked for England;
  • Described the FA decision to redevelop Wembley as “stupid”.
Not really seeing a lot wrong here.

Blimey. I bet those working on this at the Telegraph took a sharp intake of breath when he was appointed England manager.

Allows the FA to save face after making the idiotic decision of appointing him in the first place I guess.

We really don't want our national team to do well do we.

We'll never do well under Big Sam.

If he's sacked for this, who can England get?

Sounds like he's thinking clearly. Shame he could be sacked really. :lol:

The English press is a bit shit to be honest. Whinge how shit the team is and go out their way to sabotage the team and management.

Not a good thing for the manager to be caught up in.. but is it anything illegal? Or just bad press?

I obviously don't understand the depth of this thing. By just watching the video it sounds like a manager bigging himself up, flirting with conflict of interest but not really doing anything worthy of a scandal. Maybe I missed something.

Scanned over it, nothing he's said is wrong, is it?
This is only the beginning. They will be releasing more.

You don't think it's wrong that he's being flown out to Asia and taken out to dinner in Manchester to talk about these things? They're effectively paying him for advisory services and the advice he's given them are hardly legal.

So Big Sam sacked by England soon then, won't be that bad for him i suppose he can probably have his job at Sunderland back in a few weeks.

Well it was a hell of a run. I'm sure we'll all treasure the memories forever. Like the time England beat Slovakia. Or the time he...called Roy Hodgson Woy.

Harry Redknapp to the rescue perhaps.
