Thought a lot of this lad, and would have been confident that he would make it, but once again, injuries played a major role in a player's development. Tuanzebe was another one.
We've been absolutely cursed with our highly-rated young defenders having significant injury issues. Those two, Fosu-Mensah, Laird. Pretty much all the ones that we thought had a decent chance to break into the first team.
Of course, our first team defenders have tended to be the same. Being a defender at Man Utd over the last fifteen years has been a dangerous job unfortunately.
We have a 30-40% sell on apparently.

From a selfish point of view, it’s a shame he’s not staying one more season and building more value. I can see a lot of these players with sell ons being sold for good money in the future, but maybe not directly from the club we have the agreement with.

What incentive does Luton have to sell if most of it goes to us?
That’s an old tweet from February. Torino is in talks with luton to sign him not Leverkusen.
I guess they think the 60-70% they would get is still just about worth bothering with, despite us getting the much larger 30-40%.
