Technology and Science forum

The response in many of these threads that really gets me, is the "go to a science & tech forum" line or ireplace that with cricket in Brad's case. Why would it better if instead of keeping people all on the one site, they go elsewhere?

Shouldn't the aim rather be to have a reasonably wide choice here, so if a topic that isn't football is what takes their interest for a time, they remain on the Caf. All the more so if the site is making any kind of money off the clcik through rate on ads.

And Weaste loves the Cell.

And in the grand scheme of things, the Cell > cricket.

The Cell doesn't need to stop for afternoon tea after working for three hours.

Eh? Think of all the tea and biscuit breaks the cell makers stop for. Not to mention fag breaks. Probably whenever they liked, and not at some organised, observable pre defined time. Do cricketers stop for fag breaks? No.

Well maybe Tufnell used too. He liked his smokes...

i would fully endorse a cricket forum right up until the point i would actually have to do anthing to get it up and running.

There have been various attempts to bring the pavillion ( cricket forum ) back but the subject is always met with a swift response. ( no )

However, some of us have determination on our side an hopefully persistent nagging will bring it back.

You can achieve anything with determination:

Marvellous, Weaste has not only managed to fail in his attempts to have a new forum of his own request, but he's inadvertantly managed to renew the momentum for the renewment of the Pavillion!

One day cricket was good when it was the only place you could spend the day getting lashed - proper cricket:boring:

Cricket forum is a good idea too, at least during the county season and series involving India and England.

Mods, you don't have to create a new forum for the tech talk. A sub forum in the general is more than enough:angel:

i only like matchday forum and current events forum

rest can feck off

To kill off my own campaign, cricket really doesn't need its own forum. The traffic doesn't demand it, and the sports forum caters for it perfectly. Whenever there's a test on, the cricket thread is always near the top. That said, the traffic doesn't demand a seperate forum for the FCUMers, and yet it remains...

Noodle, you may repay me by letting my missus buy you breakfast again :nono:

I don't think there is enough demand for any other forums really. Its fine how it is.

The general is a bit of a mess but I suppose that is what the general is about and why people like posting in there so much. Besides most lazy posters would much rather have one general forum than two or three.

Questions over demand were cited when some called for an Olympic Forum, which for my mind were proven to be unfounded.

Generally speaking, sometimes the only real way to tell is to have a trial run.

When I slipped in to that forum I thought I could find some easy porn yet its packed with playstation junkies, Sony, Nintendo, Bill gates is a bastard, iphones and other weird stuff I normally dont bother going near even in the outlets. Many of these geeks are grown up adults, some of them in their 40's, ...still bizarre on their whim towards these games.
