I'd rather just buy a center back or two which we actually need even if everyone is fit. That would free up Blind to move to left back with CBJ as backup and Darmian to right back with Jones as backup and then when everyone is fit we don't have to try to fit in two possible first choice left and right backs.
What about Debuchy? Seems desperate to get out of Arsenal and Arsenal probably don't think of us as competition right now anyway lol.
Manchester Evening News has managed it.Surprised that Bruno Martins Indi hasn't been mentioned yet.
I'd sign both of them. Stones can play RCB and RB and Laporte LCB and LB. Jones can go and Smalling can takes his chances. So, I think there are 3 options here for us:-
Stop gap left back so Shaw returns next season and this player leaves:
Evra
Cole
1st choice right back so Darmian plays LB this season and is back up for both full back positions long term:
Coleman
Fabinho
Buy a centre back for long term partner of Stones and play Blind at LB for the rest of the season and then assume Mr Versatile role:
Stones
Laporte
I'd personally go all out for John Stones - we'd have the England CB partnership for the next 10 years and he compliments Smalling very well (he can actually pass the ball!).

I also agree. He seems to have a good cross on him, which is i guess rare for us these days.
Omari Hutchinson is my ideal backup to Luke Shaw
Ben Chilwell, who is on loan at Huddersfield Town from Leicester... looks like a decent prospect
Might make more sense to use Blind at LB and target a better CB.
Dominic Iorfa is a great young English right back at Wolves who I think we should look at.
He was good last season. And CBJ has only had one game so far where he wasn't poor although that was the last game so maybe he's just starting to find his (strangely running) feet.Is Andy Robertson any better than CBJ?
On loan at Monaco.Contraeo?
well buy him.On loan at Monaco.
He's absolute wank.Jenkinson? West Ham signed that RB. Get him on loan or on the cheap for a short term solution
agreedHe's absolute wank.
It was against Fulham too in the league. When was the last season we didn't have an injury crisis in defence? Was it 5 or 6 years ago that we put out a back four with Carrick and Fletcher in it for a Champions League match? I feel like we've had one at least once a year since then.
