Tainted Love - United no more

It's a legitimate feeling, not sure why OP is getting slagged off. Sure its great the Glazers are going, but I do find it weird the level of giddiness on here that oil money is coming in. I don't know how to feel myself. Sure there will be improvements to the stadium and players etc. Guess I'll have to wait and see how I feel when success on the pitch comes, but I don't know how I'll feel right now to be honest.

What is the purpose of insulting someone for wishing their club wasn’t owned by people with deplorable human rights?

Surely, even if you’re willing to ignore it you can see why being owned by a group who look down on the most vulnerable will upset people?
This is a person who is gutted the club he loves is compromised? And this is what you post?
I'm entitled to my opinion just as much as they are

I’m still curious why you suggested the Glazers staying is a suitable alternative when they are destroying the club

Marc Almond is a Top Bloke. He and I have sung together at a Jethro Tull concert at Wakefield Cathedral

Because the Glazer family are not currently enslaving minorities and treating women and gays as second class citizens?

But they are killing the history and heritage of the club (you said this was very important earlier).

So if it was a choice of the club being a ruined non entity v ME ownership you’d let the club vanish?

Pure speculation until any decision is made, but for me, United will become tainted with state ownership.

With the leech like ownership of the Glazers, at least we had something to rail against and we were unified in the hatred of all they represented.

But unfortunately some see the ownership of an oil rich state with extremely dubious morality as a win win situation.

It is merely the latest sad acquisition in a Middle Eastern dick swinging contest that has absolutely nothing to do with the origins of United.

Whilst I might still watch, it will be with a heavy heart and possibly the end of my love of football.

You don’t have to follow Utd to still love football. Bit extreme!

You have 2 options basically. Watch other teams get owned by billionaires , spending crazy amount of money and going places. Only matter of time Liverpool would also be owned by a super rich . The PL is about to explode to next level. This itself is the super league. We need huge investment to even stay competitive and we have the stadium as well.

Or go with the flow and watch your team reach the Pinnacle under right investment . Chelsea is now a successful club and no body even talks about sports washing after 16 years of success.

I can understand if you are local to Manchester as the local working class built it. But that club is long gone . Football is business and only money matters.

I'm not local and it's an easy choice for me. I want my club to be the best in the world. I don't care who buys us as long as they invest in the club. So bring on the Qatar regime (if that's what it is)

I thought it was a done deal when I enter this thread...but sadly just another fan with high morals or something.

United fans hated Martin Edwards, then they hated the Glazers. Don't see any signs that there will ever be a love in with Qatar either.

The first nail in their coffin will be the 'Qatar Airways stadium'

That will tip some people over the edge.

Pyrotechnics , lazer shows and tunnel clubs will cause riots.

He's getting slagged off not because of his feelings but because he posted the same message atleast twice in the relevant thread, didn't get the response he wanted and decided that he wanted to shout higher to see if he then could get a response. If everyone on here started doing this we would have 200 new threads per minute.

It's saying he'd quite the team over it. Or at least stop watching football.

Am I happy that it's state owned or leveraged debt no. I would love to be fan owned but the amount that will be needed to buy the club, get rid of the debt and rebuild the infostructure is just so far out of fan ownerships reach that it's just unfeasible.

I will never stop loving United though. Even if Trump brought United it would be, Love United hate Trump.
