Switching Off a Film

I walked out of LOTR after about 5 mins in the cinema with a mate, and not watched another minute of any of the films since. Everyone I have told this story to has told me that I made a mistake.

You made a mistake.

It's worse when you're watching a good film and the dvd starts jumping until it becomes unwatchable. I've had that a lot since i started renting from a library.

It happened to me this morning at my birds with saving private ryan, luckily a quick clean at it was alright.

Shoot em up
Little Nicky (lasted about 5 mins, until Sandler spoke)
Judge Dredd
Godzilla

Usually I tend to know what I will not like but these I attempted to watch out of boredom and had to stop.

I fell asleep during Batman Begins in the cinema, and walked out of Man in the Iron Mask and wanted to when Return of the King was winding down.

i think i turned Daredevil off halfway through

oh ye alexander, i turned that off after like 20 minutes and Domino too

That reminds me - I didn't get through that either. Awful.

Miami Vice. What a shit film.

The New World

It seems to me there is a theme developing here... Colin Farrell has been in some really shit films.

I suppose SWAT was watchable though, just about.

so all of you who turned off Miami Vice half way through missed the 2nd part of the movie that was actually really good and action filled?

I walked out of SWAT. Trouble is, it was on TV so I had to spend an hour and a half in the garden until it had finished.

AI, American Gangster. Apart from them two I can't think of any others. I can usually sit through any film as long as it isn't a womans one or a period drama.

He was actually alright in 'In Bruge' and that film is actually pretty good. SWAT though is a bit rubbish.

I would agree with that, first half was slow and dull, 2nd half was quite good, Hostage scene, gunfights etc.

Assasination of Jesse James.

Not that it was bad as such, I just wasn't really in the mood and it was slow. I'll go back to it someday.

Plenty of people were walking out of The Beach when I saw it at the pictures. My wife was still only my girlfriend at the time so I had to stay and watch it.

Load of ballhocks.

She walked out on Resident Evil because it was too scary so I had to leave too. Bitch.

The LOTR movies are feckin' shite. Complete and utter wank, spread over three hours. I've watched them just because everyone said how good they are. Well that was a lie.

Mr Beans Holiday.

That last film was fecking horrible.I love the Mr Bean show but that movie was the most boring film ever.

Windtalkers - one of the few films I haven't been able to watch till the end

walked out of that too, I've only walked out off the cinema 3 times the other times were The Ring 2 and some French film i think was called One

agreed but i sat bored through all 3, like a big idiot

I loved Serenity, although I suppose if you weren't into the tv show, there's really little point in the film.

I wouldn't watch Adulthood in that case.

Don't be fooled by the title, none of the characters nor acting abilities have matured.
