Swine's Tiger

Good footballer for 12 mil imo, anyone comparing him to Alan Smith is an idiot

I like him, but I wouldn't say he'd really improve us. I wouldn't complain if we signed him as a squad player

Sign him
one of my favorite german players
mine too, but the only problem is his attitude, he has got a bad attitude, which i am sure that saf will take care off, but at this point he is like Terry, wines about each and everything.

He has got a pile driver of a shot, more like a crazy pscho version of scholes.

i cannot believe that i compared ginger prince with this german C**t. If he is too sign it with us, i believe SAF and Hargo will sort him out.

I can guess your judgement differs from mine, please give me your opinion on Schweinsteiger instead of laughing at a simple comment. I followed his career very closely from the very beginning and he didn't improve as much as he could (taken his potential into account) over the course of the last three seasons. Looked like an extraordinary player when he was 18, 19 years of age though.

I know we shouldn't dig up old threads but it's nevertheless interesting (I stumbled across it while trying to google if anyone apart from me refers to him as Swinetiger ) to see the reaction of people here. 6 years on and a player who was considered an average winger is universally accepted as one of the best midfielders in the world and that's mostly thanks to van Gaal converting him into a midfielder (it was him, wasn't he?). I wonder if he'll be able to do that with one of our players.

Bebe will be our general.

Its good to look at old threads from time to time. I was in a 2002 Ferdinind thread and read a post saying that Rio is not a patch on Wes Brown and they hope we dont sign him

Ammusing to see how wrong people can be sometimes and this thread is no exception

Pete joking about signing Podolski was a particular highlight.

It was also interest to read on how almost 75% of the caf were slating Darren Fletcher in his earlier years, right before he come good, and saying that he only got a run in the side just because he's Scottish. It shows you how bad fans are when it comes to judging the potential in players.

I'm hoping that Cleverly turns it round under LvG and silence the caf doubters as well.

Lingard will be made CM AKA "diMarried" IMO, hes got qualities to play there to be a playmaker once there is no room at his best #10 position.. we also need players on the wings a little quicker and powerfull than he is... so far adnan, welbz, valencia with possibly keeping Nani, giving a chance to Zaha and buying someone like Sanchez.. I expect something like Valencia playing wing back, carrick and fellaini - too slow to play CM could be pushed either to CB or CAM respectively if used right next season.. Rooney - CM another think to be expected..

Thing is, Fletcher at least had something about him that you thought might help him develop into something decent. Always had a great engine and will to run even if technically he wasn't as good as he could be.

Cleverley has absolutely nothing to suggest he'll ever be anything other than bang average.

The thing is, that's what that 75% of the caf were saying, that Darren Fletcher had nothing in him to suggest that he would be a good player. "Technically poor, headless running, can't shoot to save his life, tactically clueless" were some of the terms that were used to disparage him. They were comparing him to Keane and Scholes when he wasn't even the same type of player.

Cleverly may not be a Gerrard or Scholes, but he has keeps team fluid and would fare well in teams that plays pass and move. Which is why I fancy him, like I fancy Fletcher, to eventually come good.
