scummy bunch celebrating a city win after losing the game

Football mate, half the fun is winding up your oppo.

Not an issue, Stoke were the same in 2010.

They would do the same if it was the other way around. Most Sunderland fans wanted us to win the title if you look at their forum.

I think Liverpool fans are worse. My dad supports Liverpool and when city got the third he was celebrating more than I have ever seen him celebrate for Liverpool. Just bizarre and bitter. I love Liverpool losing by I always try and keep my dignity when it happens

It says a lot about their own situation when they have to celebrate someone elses success.

If I was a Sunderland fan I'd take pleasure where I could find it.

First text I got after the game: United fan? No. City fan? No. Scouser? No.

Some Sunderland cnut revelling in their backwards Mackem glory.

Hoping we don't win the title is as close to celebrating anything as most of these teams fans will ever get.

Yeah they're in the ground with us so no big deal. Plus they were taking the piss out of us and celebrating City's win.

I do have a slight issue though with all the Scousers suddenly becoming massive City fans of late however.

They were also incredibly objective and supportive during the Evra/Suarez issue earlier in the season.

Its just abit of harmless fun. The whole world is not ABU!!!

Of course they are. Just check out Twitter and Facebook this evening, United not winning a league title is the highlight of a lot of people's seasons.

It would have been the same on Man City if QPR held out.

How sad is that?? glad i have got more to my life than seeing other teams fail as some sort of victory. Cannot get my head round it, I care only about United, could not give two fecks about any other team and how they do.

Yeah that's right as well. In fact I think more people would have been happy if QPR had held out.
No they wouldn't. Everone I know who is not a United fan is cheering for City. Thats how despised United are- mainly through jealousy of success, but despised nevrtheless.

It shows that United are clearly still the team to beat.

This is a bit of a pathetic thread. It's banter, grow up. It would've happened either way. If the title race was between Sunderland and QPR (silly I know but hypothetically), with the same fixtures and Sunderland lost out, we'd have done the exact same to them.

City and their cash

Anything else lads?

Any team would have done it. I had was at OT and we had finished mid table and the opposition just lost a title having beaten us, I expect the reaction in OT would have been just the same. Personally, it's not what I would do (unless the opposition was LFC or LUFC) but just get over it dude.

I remember Sunderland supporters singing "YAWN" at Old Trafford a few seasons back.

I don't but this "any club would do it" stuff. Although I think most fans would have taken the opportunity to wind us up today, Sunderland fans took it to another level. There's something about the North-East - they consider us rivals and we don't give a feck - that must've been a factor in the Mackem's orgasmic joy after City's goal.
