Besides, it'd be an awful idea to offload Schneiderlin. We don't know the severity of Fellaini's injury (and whether he would be able to continue his form) and Carrick is old. We need squad depth more than ever.

I'd be all for it if the depth wasn't so bad. Carrick won't be able to handle too many games, the verdict is still out on whether Fellaini can keep this form sustained and Ander isn't really a number six.
