Summer Transfer Deadline Day - 2021-22

Aside from what we already knew was happening today, it’s been a shit deadline day in general. Nothings really happened.

Have Liverpool even signed anyone all summer?

What a moron Merson is.

He's on Sky's deadline day program claiming that Ronaldo's 29 goals wasn't as good as Lukaku's 24 because Inter won the league :wenger:

Mate I’m struggling to watch Merson.

Talking about Arsenal at the moment and he can’t say anything bad. Literally just talking crap about Ronaldo not being the same Ronaldo. Jesus Christ.

Edouard the striker from Celtic signs for Crystal Palace. The fee is believed to be around £14m, while it could rise to £18.5m
Very good signing for CP, I've been wanting to see what Edouard would do in the Premiere League

Hope Ronaldo is seeing all this and bangs in 30+ goals this season.

I'm seeing the comedy in it. His example of how good the Ronaldo of old was, was that he gave Jimmy Bullard a hard time. 'If he could do that to Jimmy...'

Jimmy Bullard!

Paul's never been good with numbers now, has he.

You can sort of see what he’s getting at, a bit like what’s the point in having all that possession if you don’t score. But 29 goals is still better than 24, I mean that’s just objective fact.

It's nonsense as football is a team sport.

29 goals. Ronaldo did his part and more for them to win the league.

It's like when people say Bruno hasn't won anything for us. The man did his part but you need the team to do theirs as well

I love how so many pundits and ex players are so bitter towards us. Like Souness literally frothing at the mouth live on tv over Pogba's foul, and he wasnt the only one.

I think the fact that so many of them are so bitter over Ronaldo, well its probably a good sign really.

I cant see what he's getting at, in fact Juve were struggling badly at times last season, compared to Inter who cruised a lot of the season. I'd say its harder to score in a struggling team.

I mean there have been Italian journo's that said Juve would probably of finished mid table without Ronaldo's goals last season.

Just Konate at CB. Let about five or six players go. No one wants Origi. :(

I took his point to mean yeah Ronaldo was better than Lukaku and scored more goals, but would Inter trade Lukaku’s goals for Ronaldo’s given they won the league? That’s ultimately more important. It’s a pretty basic point I guess, he just Merson-ed the hell out of it.

They got Konate so long ago that I thought it was January. How are Liverpool fans reacting to their window? Like Utd, it’s a big club with big following and big expectations. I would imagine there would be a meltdown on here if that’s all we did in a Summer window.

and wow, I wonder if that was their pitch to Arsenal

I think there's some frustration with parts of our fan base about the fact that we haven't spent a lot. They also waited until Deadline Day to announce Henderson's new contract. It was a bit of a kick in the teeth for them to do that as a distraction tactic. It doesn't help that the other three sides in the top four have spend big as well. There's only so much Klopp can do without investment. You can see that Mane and Firmino have declined in the last 12 months.

Personally I think they've invested a lot into the club (stadium, wages, players etc) and managed to get Klopp through the door. They're investment has helped deliver our first league title in 30 years. They've made some mistakes but I think they've been mostly good for the club.

I think your relationship with your owners is very different to our relationship with FSG.

Announcing Hendersons contract on deadline day did seem a little strange from the outside.
