Television Stranger Things (Netflix Original) | CONTAINS SPOILERS

Very disappointing season with garbage plot saved only by some cool character moments. Mainly from Steve, Dustin and Robin. Even Nancy and Jonathan had more to do than the rest of the kids. In hospital particularly, that was good, and the beating that Jonathan got looked very painful.

Last two episodes in particular were pretty poor.

And Suzie just might be the worst character to ever appear in Stranger Things, and I love The Never Ending Story. Why didn't she respond back in episode one?

My 10 year old wants to watch this after seeing the Stranger Things Skin in Fortnite.

Had a check here https://www.commonsensemedia.org/tv-reviews/stranger-things/user-reviews/adult to see what the general consensus was and I’ve realised that there’s a lot of prudes about.

Especially this cnut who banned her SEVENTEEN YEAR OLD from watching it because of a few “shit” and “asshole” lines...

Personally, I reckon Jesus would dig Stranger Things personally.

LTP with this one, but if anyone ever thinks they have run out of stuff to do, go read some reviews on common sense media, they are absolutely mental.

Its difficult to believe that some people can be so backwards in their views, but from what i can see they are all genuine.

It's brilliant. Nearly as hilarious as reading some of the "Am I Being Unreasonable" threads on Mumsnet, which are fecking always hilarious, and mostly, they are actually being unreasonable....

Aye it’s hard to beat mumsnet for exceptional behaviour.

Just finished it and avoided this thread for a while! Thought it was a terrific season. Would be ridiculous to lose the best character on the show, so I think he's alive ;)

Well. I i had tears rolling down my cheeks listening to Hopper’s letter he wrote to El, its so well written. Proper tugs on the heart strings conjouring emotions i feel for my 6 year old daughter and her growing up so fast and me trying to savour every moment of it. Very well done.

On the series.. i loved it. I watched it all in the space of 3/4 weeks, trying not to binge on it too badly. Season one was great, season two not so much, and season three was ultimate cheese but superb; from the new characters to russian plot line.

Things I didn’t like -
The Terminator dude
The CGI slime ball baddy (would have preffered for him to be some black smoke version)
Somethings just a little off with Nancy and Jonathon. I think they needed to be more tense together.
That song they sung when Suzie came on the radio ffs. “Listen love, ill sing it afterwards!”

Things i loved -
The constant barrage of 80s music and the Nostalgia.
The intro was almost hypnotic and i never fast forwarded or skipped it.
The children’s acting, in particular El who i thought was awesome. For a kid like her to act that strongly at her age really was impressive i thought.

Final thought - i wish they ended the series there on that final episode. It finalised everything very well. I really want Mike and El to be together though so im also delighted there will be a season 4 and Hopper to make a comeback FTW!

Sorry but . That poor 17 year old. Just imagining a woman watching that and being completely horrified and shocked by a few swear words from kids  get a life!

I thought it was better than season 2 for sure, but probably not as good as season 1. My greatest annoyance was the scenes involving Hopper and Joyce. Holy shit did I want to rip my eyes out and stick them in my ears (or just skip the scenes). Unbearable.
Oh, the fact everyone just stands around before doing some crucial stuff is annoying as well. The whole Suzie thing, the counting down before turning the keys etc.
That's just some human/flayed hybrid thing isn't it - to show "It's not over".
In that bit the one of the Russians said "Not the American" or similar before pulling the prisoner out of his cell and feeding him to the demo-dog thing.

Suzie defo a heel. Russian spy.
And the american gonna be a twist and be Billy.

Not a very good spy if she actively participates in decoding, discovering, infiltrating and bringing down the Russian secret base...

Thats the main theme from Never Ending Story which was a pretty big thing back in the 80s for younger kids to be fair. I had no idea what the reference was myself so didn't mean much to me.

Looking forward to it. Hopefully next year, but the last season had a 2 year gap.

Finally away from Hawkins then. Would have been pretty ridiculous for another threat to happen there without the general population getting an idea of what's going on.

Just watched it kept their cards close to the deck there

Hope they do switch it up a bit this season and not so much more focus on the same kids Dustin perhaps would be a better focal point for a change instead of Eleven and Finn etc

Nancy and Jonathan can feck off too

There must be some major fecking twists this season if they've given that spoiler away in the bloody teaser trailer.

Don’t think it’s a major spoiler after how they ended last season.

Well it seems their intending Hopper's "death" to be a mystery, don't really know if we can even call it a spoiler because they'll probably advertise season 4 with his face

I I despise trailers these days. No such thing as a secret. First Han from F&F and now this. It's a miracle that Darth Vader from Rogue one wasn't spoiled.

I wonder if they didn't bother to even try, because they'd already given it away at the end of Season 3 anyway.
Yes, it was pretty clear from what was said. I imagine we'll be seeing Hopper in the first episode of Season 4 anyway so it was never really intended to be some massive secret.

My only wish for S4 is the introduction of new interesting characters and story ideas.
I think the majority of the previous characters have had their time. We've enjoyed their developments as individuals and as a group but now introduce characters that will likely take this new season, and there after, forward.
Also, luckily for the makers the upside-down world still hasn't been further developed greatly. Still much to play with in that respect.

I think we will see a time jump at the start of S4. It will account for growth of teenage actors. The big changes at the end of S3 seemed to be put in for that reason only.

This. Also saves all the questions they would have gotten through promotional events. I'd like to think if they are handing this out straight away, what secrets do they actually have to come out.

The gang have to get back together to rescue Hopper from the evil Russians in embarrassingly contrived circumstances.

Meh would be better if it were just all about Steve, Dustin and Robin this year.

Eleven Mike and Will just get more and more boring while Nancy and Johnathan should not be in the show at all any more
