Overrated.
Wouldn't be as famous as he is were he not blind.
Mate you really need an education in music, or just simply stop making such ignorant comments about things you don't know much about.
The man has sold over 150million records worldwide do you honestly think the majority (if any) people thought "Oh my god he's blind we must sympathise with him and buy all of his records". I certaintly don't think so, how many blind musicians have had number 1 records both in the USA and the UK?
I can list plently of blind musicians who had nowhere in the same league the amount of success Stevie Wonder has had -
John William Boone, Jeff Healey, Blind Willie McTell, Blind Joe Reynolds, Al Hibbler, Blind Blake, Henry Butler to name a few. Based on your theory of if you have a disability you'll recieve more notability.
David Blunkett is blind aswell does that make him more appealing to you?
The fact that Wonder is blind is neither here nor there it doesn't change the fact that he IS a musical genius. Not only has he mastered his Vocals, Keyboards, Piano, Harmonica, Drums & Bass guitar he also and perhaps more importantly has the ability to write incredible songs, songs such as
Fingertips, Uptight (Everything's Alright), For Once in My Life, Yester-Me, Yester-You, Yesterday, Signed, Sealed, Delivered I'm Yours, Superstition, You Are the Sunshine of My Life, Higher Ground, Living for the City, Boogie On Reggae Woman, I Wish, Sir Duke, Master Blaster (Jammin), Pasttime Paradise, I Ain't Gonna Stand For It, Ribbon In The Sky, Golden Lady.
You obviously thought "I'll sound cool if i make a dumb controversial statement about something i know very little of". I respect peoples opinions but the fact that yours seems to have been pulled straight out of your arse doesn't really give you much credibility. Perhaps if you justified your thoughts by explaining them maybe more people would agree with / understand you.
Out of interest what sort of music are you into?
