Steve Bruce - The manager

Didn't know his 4 month old grandson had died recently. So sad. The funeral was on Tuesday. Today he released a statement thanking everyone for the messages of support received.

Only stumbled upon this when checking how Blackpool had been doing lately and I saw how their form had tailed off after a good start under Bruce. He's not actually been with the club since losing his grandson, taking a step back from duties. Alex Bruce doing the same with Salford where he is a coach, the little one was his nephew.

Steve back in dugout this weekend.
 
I wouldnt wish his situation on the person I hate the most in life. Anyone who knows how Grandad's feel about their grandkids will know how hard this is for him. It must have crushed his whole family. Poor guy.
