Can't see us making many signings until we clear out the players that either aren't good enough or don't suit how we plan to play next season. There's still too many players that have huge wages that need to be moved on and should only be replaced with players that will actually fit the team and our style of play. I'm assuming Ole will play counter style football next year and all our players need to suit it. Throwing money at big players hasn't worked for us because they haven't been signed to fit our team. Until we have some sort of idea and structure in place signing anyone is pointless.

Wow Madrid got Jovic, supposedly the number 9 everyone rates as the most promising. Even Militao is supposed to be very good. I feel Madrid have become very sensible in the transfer market much moreso than Barca.

We need to act swiftly. Given many top teams will buy big this summer we can't be caught napping.
It's just a registration window. You can sign players any time in the year but can only register in specific window.

Perhaps not the only forward but one of the early signings most likely. I expect some low key signings (not meaning that they will be useless) this window. Not much hope of a couple of big, exciting names. We shall see.
Need to sell first. I am more concerned by the lack of links to our deadwood. No real Darmian, Rojo, Bailly links yet. At least Sanchez and Lukaku are getting repeatedly linked to Italy. De Gea and Pogba also repeatedly linked, but nothing on Pereira, Martial, Fred, Mata links have gone quiet too.

You should be more optimistic, you'll sign James but lose Pogba to Real. Coutinho will turn you down on deadline day and go to Juve, Dybala will also say no and head to Atletico and after a whole summer of chasing both Ed will have no plan B. Oh and DDG will go and be replaced by Cillesen for 80 million quid!
EDIT: You could also buy Bale for a ridiculous sum of cash on deadline day to save face, but he'll get injured tripping as he walks to his unveiling and be out till Feb.
