Sri Lanka vs. India

Sehwag's a big time flat track bully. Great to watch, though.

You might say he is flat track bully but many times he has been blazing away and the players around him have crumbled. He does like his big scores, 11 of his 15 centuries he has got 150+. As a test match player he is quite brilliant but an average ODI player imo. At Test level he knows he can leave four balls and hit the next one for four but in the ODIs he tries to smack everything and throws his wicket away, he is a lot more patient in the Test arena and if he just played like that in the ODIs he would be among the best in that format. Just like Hayden at his peak he really can pummel the life out of a bowling attack and demoralise them, while he is at the crease India I doubt India bat at less than 4 runs an over. He strikes fear into bowling attacks and has taken the best to the cleaners. He really has that aura about him when he is around.

He has a really poor average in 2nd innings though, has a first inning average must be around 70 but his 2nd innings must be in the twenties. I think he has only one century in 2nd innings and that is what lets him down a bit as a test match player but saying that he still has a 50+ average and has centuries in most major nations to his name.

Sehwag is a flat track bully. Laxman in his earlier days wasnt able to cross the 30 mark as his foot movements were tentative for an hour or so and 90's bowlers made a meal out that. These days its hard to find any lateral movement of the seam, pitches are either dead or standardized and favouring batsmen completely and players like Laxman and Sehwag helping themselves with big scores even if they get a jittery start.

Even Tendulkar has become a big match player these days mind.

He has always been. Don't believe in the media bollocks.

Good win after the shit performance in the first test.

There is scope for more improvement, middle order is still failing.

Am I the only one watching this game?

I've watched all 3 ODIs so far and watching this one now, could go either way. We batted brilliantly right up until the final 10 overs where we really failed to finish in the style we should have, 258 is still a good total though but definitely not insurmountable, our bowlers have done well so far to restrict Sri Lanka though.

Fecking Sri Lanka:mad: I hate them. They represent everything thats wrong with Cricket along with Sehwag.

It was our middle order who got us out of trouble in the last two matches, unless you have a different interpretation of the word "middle order".

Care to explain?

Surely he couldn't have meant India, maybe he's Sri Lankan?
