Spurs officially departed tonight

But they didn’t do much with it? We actually defended them well when they did get in behind.
I’m struggling to think of a DDG save to be honest. Our second goal alone was a bigger chance than anything Spurs created.
Unless I’m forgetting something I think the offside goal they scored was their best chance

Outside of Kane and Son they don’t have very good players and Conte knows it. I thought they had the better of it today but they’re always at risk of throwing games away.

Interesting summer coming up for them.

What aBoUt REguilLON!!!!???1!!??

Wasn’t even a chance since it was an intercepted cross! It was their best move though.
I honestly can’t believe they have Kane playing in midfield and it’s Romero making that run.

I think they'd be better off if they sacked Conte and brought back Poch. At least with the Argentinian you have some semblance of a gurantee that he won't feck off if he's not going to get his favorite toys after 1 window.

I meant the offside goal in the first half. Think Davies scored it

How bad are Leeds and Everton to have lost 4 and 5-0 to that Tottenham side?

It seems that depends entirely how the other team sets up against them. Play a high defensive line leaving loads of spaces for them to run into and they can pick you off ruthlessly. Counter attacking teams at pace is their forte. It's why they destroyed Everton, thumped Leeds or even incredibly done the double over City.

Deny them that space and force them to break you down and they have no idea what to do.

Rejoining a club rarely work out. Levy did Poch dirty before. I doubt Poch would be thrilled at the possibility to come back and relive Levy stingy transfer policy. Poch fall out toward the end of his time there previously had much to do with transfer policy. Poch right now didn't improve his reputation, so he has more to lose coming back and compromise with Levy now, than working his way up at another club.

Beside our job, RM link; Newcastle job may become available if Eddie Howes can't put them on track to move higher on the table next season. Newcastle unlikely to be able to attract the big egoists right away, nor demanding instant trophies. So Newcastle may be a better choice for Poch if the timing is right.

Spurs is in really bad position right now. They would have to go all the way with Conte demand, or they have to look at manager from lower tier than current Poch. No manager with a point to prove (including Poch), would risk their reputation with Spurs now. Either way, they would need a big transfer to improve their team.

We dominated the second half
No idea why Conte waited so long to make any changes
Maybe he has no faith in the reserve players

I've defended them a fair bit this season but with a chance to produce a statement win tonight they stank the place out big time.

1 point from Man. United, Arsenal and Chelsea so can see where their season is heading. Brilliance of Son + Kane will see off enough bottom half teams but there's just a limit in their team with how they set up.

Departed for the final time?

Needs rebuilding now.

Defensive options bar Romero (and he's a liability on a yellow) are very average/old.

Forward is a big problem with Kane leaving and Son really declining in last six months. Richarlison can't get into their style and Danjuma/Moura probably going in the summer.

Strongest area is midfield but again they're all similar and closest to tempo player is Bentancur and he'll be out until October.

Of course Poch coming home will give Levy a short term PR boost from portions of the crowd but it will take years for him to create something as good as 2016-19 Spurs and there's a lot more pain and flat nights to come in the meantime.

Brighton and Liverpool will finish above them this season, perhaps Newcastle aswell if they can remember how to score.

What? I’d say the complete opposite.

Hojbjerg isn't top tier but he's decent enough for a 5-7th team to remain as starter and not that old. Bentancur good but injured. Thought Skipp has done well in his starts and Sarr has looked promising in his cameos. They need a more attack minded player in that group but dosen't need as much immediate surgery as the backline does with Dier, Lenglet, Davies, Sanchez all mediocre.

Their midfield is shocking mate. Their front line is by far their strongest area. Kane, Son, Kulu, Richarlison compared to their terrible midfield.

Kane is leaving and Son really has been terrible for last six months (and at 31 seems to have lost that half a yard acceleration which is huge to his game) so forward line won't be their strongest area for very much longer. Kuluveski hasn't been that great since the world cup either although he could come again given he's young.

I’m glad Milan knocked them out. No offense intended to Spurs but Milan are a proper CL team and it feels more right to have them progress in the CL rather than Spurs.

This Milan is spineless and only a glimpse of last year's success team. The fact that this is the team that knocked out Spurs tells you all you need to know about Conte

Going by their league form I have no doubt about that but I still prefer them progressing to fecking Spurs

Spurs can now focus on their real trophy - denying the scousers top 4.

They're not better than Milan but I don't think they're worse either, talent-wise. And they didn't lay a glove on them in 180 minutes. This tie was far more one-sided than the Bayern-PSG one, despite the final score

Are their glory years over? :(
What glory years?
They have the money and infrastructure to match their recent achievements with a couple of good appointments. Start by getting a manager who wants to be there.

Moura bottled the result for them.

Spurs had a bad start (again), but they showed great fighting spirit overcome 3 goal lead against 12 man Liverpool. The 12th men is the refereeing unit.

I think this thread is more about them not showing up and being weak willed?
