Agreed. Celebrate a great win and focus on ourselves ffs, I'm pretty sure United fans have enough discussion about fecking Mourinho on the forum, and are perfectly aware of the issues with their team without us having a dig.
We were great tonight, perhaps not in terms of how we played (we've certainly looked far better) but the mentality we showed was fantastic. We were clinical, held the lead so well, and played it smart tactically. Some of the defending was excellent, it was a very mature performance and to win 3-0? Incredible. All the talk will be about how poor United were, but honestly I think you played well first half, could easily have led, and that the scoreline could easily had been different, we were so good in the key moments of the match, which is great to see.
Lamela's injury prone nature could be a worry, but I'm very excited about Lucas, I had my doubts about him but so far he's been a revelation. Playing on the counter tonight he was superb, gives us something Spurs fans have been missing for a long time. I think him and Kane could work fantastically well, as Kane's movement/hold up play as a striker is absolutely world class, allowing Lucas the space he needs to operate. Then vice versa a player who drags defenders towards him (as Lucas did on a number of occasions) frees up space for Kane.
I was worried about this season, but we've started fantastically, full credit to Poch and the team. I still have my doubts over depth and potential over-reliance on Dembele, but if we manage him well and take it one game at a time we should be good.
