Spotted any good players at the WC?

I can't believe no-one on here has put in a mention for Hasan Sass ! The guy is class !

Did nobody see how skillfull he is, not to mention his pace & goals. I think he would be a brilliant purchase at Old Trafford for the right price if he plays the way he has played for Turkey in the World Cup.

Anyone agree ??

I think Korean's number 10 is also brilliant. He seems to be a Left Wing Back, but his pace and skill is amazing and he can beat opponents with ease.

Hes on a pre contract to my 7-a side team, well sort of ;) . One of the lads is married to his cousin. He comes over every couple of yrs and were going to get him to train us.

Id agree that hed be a good buy because of the slim chance he'd bring the team over for the w/e if nothing else :D

I believe he was mentioned in an earlier thread as a possible fourth striker option for us

The Korean RB - Cha Doo Lee or something like that. Apparently he is still at University and is 21 yrs old. I thought he was really impressive.

Hasan Sas, Rustu. OT-candidates ? Also, Marc Wilmots. Is he old ?

Hassan Sas definately is good. Wilmots is too old...he just retired from International football. Inamoto and a few japs were impressive but I dunno how they'd do in the Premiership. Seol and Ahn of S Korea were also impressive, but how they'd do in Eng, I dont know. Duff was quite good, as was Finnan, even tho' they're Irish. Marquez was not bad at all. Brazil's keeper played well against Belgium(marcos) Any idea how Landon Donovan did(heard he was not bad despite bein' American). Ferdinand's been a rock throughout the WC2002

He's been on loan at the Earthquakes from Bayer for two years now, so he won't be joining either. ;)

Looks assured, believe he is the only mexican not playing in Mexico, he plays with Monico I think.

I think Blanco plays in Spain but yeah, I agree about Marquez, for a 23 year old (I think) he looks really calm and collected on the ball and positions himself well, good in the air too.

Sketchy temperament, if that sending off offense is owt to go by v's the USA.

He could have a long and illustrious career imo. Some La Liga team will probably snap him up soon.

Marquez is contracted to Monaco till 2007, and on the basis of this WC, they would have to be out of their minds to sell, unless they recieved upwards of 8m imo.

He's also a classy player on a classy national team.
(sarcasm)

The price may be inflated and he could well not be worth it, but that's what a good WC can do for a player. Personally I wouldn't want him at OT, but he can do a job for clubs looking for a cheap, effective player. Perfect for Leeds to replace Rio with after he joins us. ;)

Well, Leverkusen are a selling club :p

Thats true too.

Ofcource, my basic idea of 'he'll look good at an attacking team' was not a cry for United to get him. Just an observation.

And some people take any observation as a demand for us to sign someone.

That german young defender, Kehr or something, looked good last game...or..
