Why would he not represent GB & NI?
He initially said he was going to represent GB but has since said he will play for Ireland.
TBF, it's been the GUI which has developed him into the player he is and funded the development so that probably played a big part in his decision.
I reckon Poulter would have stood a good chance on his own any other year given that Ryder cup performance. I love that guy now!
The Taekwondo being staged in the arena next door was pretty awesome too.

I have to say, that super saturday on the olympics was the most special non-football sporting event/thing that i've ever seen.
