What begins? This sounds like a nothing story.
"What begins" isnt right, its whats continuing really, and thats the same toxic, couldnt care less, selfish, anti manager attitude thats been at the club for years. Ive read several reports regarding this incident and all mention "senior players" as being the ones who wanted a day off, and thats going to include the likes of Rashford, Shaw, Maguire, Lindelof all of whome have played under several managers at United, along with others of course. These players have seen off Louis Van Gaal, Mourinho, Ole Gunnar, Rangnick and Ten Haag will be next. Were all these managers to blame for the attitude and toxicity? No, the common denominator is the group of players who, following the lead of Pogba and Lingard, came to believe that they were "special" that they were bigger than the Club and answerable to nobody, including the manager and supporters. With the exit of Pogba and Lingard it did seem that the biggest trouble makers had gone, but no, the problems remained and will remain until we get rid of those players who still believe they are somehow better than the rest or more entitled or who have been warped and influenced by others; Rashford, Shaw, Maguire, Lindelof, Martial, Sancho, Wan Bissaka should all be sold asap and if we make a loss on their transfer fees so be it, it will be worth it in the long run just to get rid of them. Martial it seems will be leaving at the end of this season, goodbye to bad rubbish, and Sancho is on loan to Dortmund, but judging by his poor performances there they wont be rushing to sign him permanently. With gangrene you have cut it out before it effects the rest of the body! And while we're culling these dead heads the likes of Varane, Casemiro and Eriksen who are all past their best should also be moved on. Bruno might sulk and moan but at least he seems to care and McTominay, though not good enough to start has become a valuable asset from the bench.
