Looks like Margot Robbie is looking to end her marriage and marry me - her current husband will need to look elsewhere.

Funnily enough Margot Robbie married a regular joe type so she’s one celeb who probably wasn’t as unattainable as she seemed. Obviously she’s married now though.

How much in weekly wage relief from shipping Fred and DvD?

Edit: and Bailly.

I wonder if there's a chance we'll go for someone else as CM other than him. He seems a nice budget option, but have we managed to sell more than we expected this window ( especially if McTominay goes)? If so maybe we'll explore some of the more expensive options. No idea who, just wondering.

I think the club probably expected to have sold slightly more.

I think they would have wanted more for Fred, expected 20m plus for Henderson and hoped to be able to sell VDB rather than a loan.

The Everton Onana is nowhere near cultured enough for a Man United midfield option in my opinion. We get frustrated with Fred's passing, ship him out then bring that fella in? Not for me, even if he is young and has a certain amount of potential and athleticism. I think ETH will want a better technical player than that. Amrabat is a very consistent passer of the ball so I imagine it will be other options that are also strong in this area.

The difference is hes a youngster who will develop. And he has some physical qualities most players will never have. Amrabat is 26 and didnt match his performances at the world cup where he was at least hard working for Fiorentina last season. Almost all of his stats were worse than Fred's. He kept the ball with his passing %, thats it. He had 0 goals and 1 assist. 0.5 key passes a game

Fred 2 goals 2 assists and 2.2 key passes a game. What would be the point of replacing him with someone just as average?

The point is that Mount replaces Fred. Amrabat is a DM.

False. We do not buy anyone on the assumption we can sell. Our expenditure has always been governed by cash flow not FFP that’s just click bait - Glazer bash trash. once the Glazers are gone our cash flow and ability to spend will shoot up.

Henderson yes but I don't think we could have feasibly expected more for the other two.

People keep saying Mount replaces Fred - ok but we needed an extra midfielder or 2 after last season. Casemiro and Eriksen were shattered.

Proper bully dm, when he goes in for a tackle he comes out with the ball (high succes rate).

Press-resistant and great passer all around.

100% this only happens if we sell McTominay

Yeah people have overestimated with what we would get for Fred, however they will definitely be disappointed with Henderson

He is a bit like Thiago Motta and Van Bommel, ever pestering nuisance you love to have on the team but hate to face. I think he has some heavy demoralizing effects on opponents, making them hesitate and back down challenges at times. Hope we get him. Seem totally relentless.

Youngster or not they need the technical tools to operate at this club. There's only so much polishing that will be done, ETH would want the raw tools like he's getting with Hojlund, he's not going to be able to wave a wand on a guy that doesn't appear to like the football.

I guess overall I don't have strong feelings on Amrabat, as much as I try and convince myself I do and that he's a great idea. I've not seen enough. But the idea of a deep lying player that can help us keep the ball seems a sensible plan to me because I think we've got a lot of cooks that want to play high up the pitch. Fred was another one in truth, he was better when he was roaming around chasing people down and providing the odd goal contribution. You wouldn't trust his passing and touch near our box, and maybe with Amrabat the manager would. It's probably to add a bit of variety and composure to the options.

If my read of what he's looking for is correct I don't think he'll care about goal assists or key passes. He'd be more interested in Amrabat's handling of the ball, passing and progression of the ball. What's the point in playing Mason Mount and Bruno Fernandes if they're not expected to do the lions share of the goal contributions and key passes.

As much as l like Amrabat, a new CB ought to be the first priority. We're severely short on numbers in that position.

Midfield is an area that could do with strengthening, but we have enough bodies to cope if no further movement happens (6 for 3 places; Casemiro, Mount, Bruno, McT, Eriksen, Mainoo). You can't say the same about central defence currently (3 for 2 places; Varane, Martinez, Lindelof).

Of course, we'll get a CB in for sure. Midfielder is more of a maybe, I'd be surprised if we go for a cm unless Mctominay is sold.

Yeah we need to stick in bid for Tchouameni, failing that should sell McTominay and at least get Lavia because we lack midfield depth compared to our rivals

I agree the only way I see this midfield performing is a tactical masterclass from the manager. Lacks quality for me, I fail to see what Mount brings to the team to the extent that his signature was deemed a priority but I could be wrong we'll see in the upcoming months.

Jeez if we don't get this guy at least it's shocking
I don't know, I'm just giving my opinion. I'd take him of course.

It just seems that all the English media outlets seem to have us concentrating on Centre Backs so unless we sell Mctominay it would seem that ETH is happy with the current midfield options at this point in time.

I think this speaks much about the quality of the player if Amrabat was a good as many perceive him to be he would have been the first midfield signing surely.

I don't think Amrabat raises the bar to any significant degree aside being an option in and around the squad. This has a midfielders window in total I think there could have been opportunity to explore more prolific options. It all comes down to the managers intent more than anything.

I agree, If Tchouameni for example was available I'm sure it would be different. I don't even think Lavia is worth it right now either and is not better than our existing options. If Mctominay was to leave though we'd have to get in someone urgently.

Why don't we just enquire about him at least,we cannot afford to sleep with the midfield business being done by rivals
