So Who should Partner Van Nistelrooi?

My Personal Opinion is that Patrick Kluivert should Partner Van Nistelrooi. The Dutch Duo should be interesting for the Premiership

Patrick Kluivert doesn't play for us ;)

Fergie will rotate the forwards again, unless someone comes in (which I doubt.)

Why is everyone acting like we need a new striker? Ole is a damn good forward and SAF seems to think that if he keeps him on the bench he will come on with 20 minutes to go and score 4 like he did against Forest in 98/99. In his first season i think he scored 20+ goals and he spent the rest of the next season as a sub. Maybe SAF has something against goalscorers. My money is on Ruud not getting a game this season. ;)

good for yer!

You really have to question some peoples judgement though.Someone wrote into the United mag giving the reason for the state of the OT pitch over the last few years.........it`s because Lancashire and England play their cricket at Old Trafford!

 you really have to worry

We need 4 and we have 3. I don´t count Yorke anymore.

Make a 15m offer for Eidur ...

Eidur coulnd't displace Ole. Do you think he'd be content on the bench, when he could start elsewhere ?

If he wants to things, yes. I cannot really see him going to Blackburn ..

Eidur is probably a more complete player than Ole, although not as good a finisher. I'd be very pleased if we got him!

So would I, but I don't think he would add the creativity or speed that Ronaldinhio or Cisse would add. I'd rather we bought Rio and Duff this year, and then get Little Ronny or Cisse next summner. By that time Ole will be 30 and it will be a perfect time for some new blood.

Cisse I've only seen for about 20 mins in the World Cup, so I know nothing about him, and South Americans - well, I've never been keen on bringing them to OT.

As you say, Ole will be 30 next season. Eidur is 23 I think. Bring him now.

We need more speed and creativity at the other striker position to compliment Ruud's more physical 'Swashbuckling' style. We would be unstoppable if we had Cisse or Ronaldinhio in that role. Gudjohnsen is a fantastic striker, but I think we can do even better.

Eidur would be the perfect foil for Ruud. Tremendous player, IMO he will add a new dimension to our game.

Go get him Fergie.

;)

Not for that price, Raoul.

Eidur is a fantastic player IMO and would play in at least 30 games a season if he didn´t displace OGS.

We´re not deep up front and Ruud showed signs of tireness towards the end of the season. We need 4 strikers.

Oi, what about sissy?

I'd go for him if he was available, top prospect, but that doesn't seem to be the case.

Eidur IMO could be available for the right price, we know he's suited to the PL and he's a superb striker who would fit our style of play really well IMO.

Yeah, I agree with the Kraut

;)

I hope no one is fantasizing about getting Eidur for the price that he was linked to Rovers (8m). Bates would probably try to squeeze us for 20m, at which time we should tell him to feck off and go ahead and by someone else.

15 mil could fetch him IMO.

Why would Chelsea sell him. If he leaves, they're screwed...escpecially since Hasselbaink is so damn unpredictable.

They´re skint ...

and they still have Gianfranco Zola. ;)

I'd rather have Duff. He could make a bigger/better impact than a striker, espcially with Ole playing so well.

Maybe you`re right. I think we should invest in a young striker though, not someone to displace Ruud and Ole but someone who can be called upon when needed but young enough to be classed as a future investment. Like Jeffers at the Arse (but someone much better).

Get my full vote on this ... or some current outcast that Fergie has good judgement in bringing the true self for some players ...
