My Personal Opinion is that Patrick Kluivert should Partner Van Nistelrooi.The Dutch Duo should be interesting for the Premiership

Why is everyone acting like we need a new striker? Ole is a damn good forward and SAF seems to think that if he keeps him on the bench he will come on with 20 minutes to go and score 4 like he did against Forest in 98/99. In his first season i think he scored 20+ goals and he spent the rest of the next season as a sub. Maybe SAF has something against goalscorers. My money is on Ruud not getting a game this season.

You really have to question some peoples judgement though.Someone wrote into the United mag giving the reason for the state of the OT pitch over the last few years.........it`s because Lancashire and England play their cricket at Old Trafford!

Eidur coulnd't displace Ole. Do you think he'd be content on the bench, when he could start elsewhere ?
Maybe you`re right. I think we should invest in a young striker though, not someone to displace Ruud and Ole but someone who can be called upon when needed but young enough to be classed as a future investment. Like Jeffers at the Arse (but someone much better).
We need more speed and creativity at the other striker position to compliment Ruud's more physical 'Swashbuckling' style. We would be unstoppable if we had Cisse or Ronaldinhio in that role. Gudjohnsen is a fantastic striker, but I think we can do even better.
Eidur would be the perfect foil for Ruud. Tremendous player, IMO he will add a new dimension to our game.

We´re not deep up front and Ruud showed signs of tireness towards the end of the season. We need 4 strikers.

I hope no one is fantasizing about getting Eidur for the price that he was linked to Rovers (8m). Bates would probably try to squeeze us for 20m, at which time we should tell him to feck off and go ahead and by someone else.
