So who are West Ham trying to sign?

Can't think of anyone who's:
- a hard to believe signing for West Ham
- young enough to be long term
- plays in an odd league

I think when he said they wouldn't believe him, it was more about the league they were getting him from, not that it's hard to believe this fellow would play for them.

It better be unbelievable now, with all the attention. Though I have the feeling I will be disappointed for them...

RVP -Too old to be 'long term'
Tevez - Disliked England.
Giovinco - Is this really 'unbelievable?'
Gyan - Again, this would be a bit of a let down.

I'm calling Pato or Hulk.

Maybe Zlatan, as I believe he's still good for 3 more seasons, but RVP won't last.

The Sun () reckon it's Emenike. But meh.

Cristiano Ronaldo?

I think Pato only has a year left on his contract so it would be a bit weird if he went on loan.

hulk? though I don't know if the portugese league is at a noticeably higher level compared to the russian league.

He says we would know by the league and there are a lot of Brazilians in their league who could fit the bill I think?

So, he's
  • Young or relatively young
  • Regular goal scorer
  • Non-British
  • Probably the best striker in his league
  • Currently in a smaller league with big league experience
This is the most fun a muppet will have this window.

It's clearly this league. Don't come much stranger than this lot

People need to watch the interview, the quotes have been taken out of contexts. The long term striker and the striker on loan from a "strange" league are two separate things.

Ah right. Probably the Indian league. Love a good Indian player.

It has to be someone from one of the more obscure leagues where they are considered a big name, otherwise you would never be able to guess from the league type otherwise. It also has to be a player who's pretty well known and who isn't in the twilight of his career, so sub 30 age bracket. My money is on Pato personally.
