It must be difficult,I know, for you Mancs...all that dominance...you thought it would last for ever,I mean ...surely that was the bargain ?..eh?
I mean ,why else would you support Man Utd if it wasn't because ( as you expected) that you would always win something every year....it must be bitterly disappointing to learn that ,actually, you're goner :D be crap again this year ,you wont win anything again and you'll be looking up the Arse'nal again :D
Look,it is sheer desperation that makes you point to your past history...who gives a feck! The only point is ,we are the Champions.... and we will be again this year. :p

Hmmm.

3-1 down to Southampton last weekend weren't you?

You lost that game like true champions

I was there gillespie...

Seen it...Live.

You and your friends haven't had the honour.

You maybe never will.

Yawn......so what.....why not deal with the here and now........(too painful to consider,I suppose :D )

(Actually,I had a lot of time for Matt Busby and his team....undeniably a great team and a lot of dignity too....unlike your present crop with it's psycho captain and demented manager)

Listen twat face Iv'e supported Man United longer than you have been on this planet, don't tell me about history, Iv'e been there done that with this club, more than you can say about yourself and your misguided attraction to Arsehole. Giving a bit of credit to Loonypool I can remember their past glories, but when it comes to your shower of shit well there is just nothing to remember, only great clubs get remembered, by the way who was you supported.

You have this fecking obsession with Surrey. Its about the 3rd time in this thread that you've mentioned it. Before you start going on about everyone who lives in Manchester supporting Man City. I have one question, how would you know? you ignorant feck. It amazing how a joke comment from Mark & Lard has become a figure of fact.
Stick what what you best at drinking over priced beer and supporting a shite team

The Arse showing they are the experts at defending, especially against 10 men

From a different angle cokerknee.

Keown <img src="graemlins/lol.gif" border="0" alt="[Laugh Out Loud]" /> <img src="graemlins/lol.gif" border="0" alt="[Laugh Out Loud]" /> <img src="graemlins/lol.gif" border="0" alt="[Laugh Out Loud]" /> <img src="graemlins/lol.gif" border="0" alt="[Laugh Out Loud]" />

Which leads to three trophies in one year.

One of which is conspicuous by its absence at Library.

I was at university in Manchester for 3 years in the seventies and ,actually,it seemed to me that most people in the city were CITY fans then!!!

If you were a student up here then chances are you were living around Fallowfield, Rushome or Moss Side, all of which are within spitting distance of Maine Road so of course there are going to be more City fans

Hey....I've got to you haven't I....I've really got to you....I love it....I just love it.... <hr></blockquote>

Not at all son.

I just think you are laughable.

I lived in Fallowfield and then Withington....but even in the centre,it seemed more Mancunians supported City......though,there were obviously more Man Utd fans the closer you got to Salford

You refer to Keano as a psycho, what about your captain who still thinks he is in the jungle, with flapping arms longer than his legs spitting on people.

So it`s `sheer desperation` pointing to past history is it? Especially when that history is record-making? And even more so when the club in question, Manchester United, dominated the recently past 90s decade? Sorry, you don`t fool anybody, you Arsenal fans who are in denial.

Sure, Arsenal won the Premiership twice in the past ten years. That`s some kind of indication that it is Manchester United who are desperate is it? Particularly when Manchester United has made the record books time and time again, most notably in the 90s by the Historic (most likely never to be repeated) Treble.

We Manchester United fans detect bitterness and envy from Arsenal fans - and so you bloody well should be! Your crumbling in the face of European opposition up to now (and we are hardly in the decisive stages yet of the Champions League)has been a demonstration of lack of drive, endurance, willpower and true class to succeed in Europe. As for that pathetic EUEFA Cup Final - some commentators called it the worst in history.

Yes, Arsenal made history that night against Galatasaray - as weak-kneed wimps who couldn`t score a goal in usual time (not that Arsenal was trying too hard as most of their players chose to defend)and then scuffed their penalty shoots. However, the worst thing about that game was the sheer boredom level - that game was the pits.

Face it, Arsenal can`t cut it in Europe (not even in the watered down EUEFA Cup version) and this season`s Champions League is going to lead to more tears post match. It is not hard to predict there will never be a European trophy in the Arsenal cabinet unless it is a mediocre penalty shootout win in yet another dreary, mediocre EUEFA Cup Final.

rusholme and fallowfield are united areas...

just like islington, i bet ;)

in the champions league you can only beat the teams that are put in front of you, obviously. but which diddypool failed to do.
we did our part, we needed a win and got one, poo didnt because they couldnt.
2nd round would have been impressive for diddypool then? well we did that. ;)

Glad you keep rising to the bait, small fish in a big pond, just like your club, and by the way I am a Salford lad, so cut that Surrey shit out, and yes I was a supporter before you were born. So come on fecking impress me, or is it the fact that you can't impress me, for fecks sake, even Davo can manage that.

Well, you Mancs, let's see how your CL campaign looks now you have to play some decent teams ,like Deportivo and Juventus (Actually,I can't see you lot make the quarter finals....shame..... :D :D )</strong><hr></blockquote>

Obviously Basel. Roma is in shambles, lying 9th in Serie A, and allowing 2.1 golas per game in the league.

Impress you?....that's hardly my raison d'etre posting on this forum.Look, the vitriol I have attracted in pointing out (fairly innocuously,I might add)a simple fact that winning 3-1 away to Roma is more impressive than beating Basel by the same margin is a little excessive, don't you think?
Frankly,it's pretty much irrelevant to me how long you have been supporting Man Utd .You might have been born in the centre circle at OT,bottle fed by Matt Busby, the brother of George Best and have 'United Til I Die' tattooed to your left buttock for all I care. But it doesn't seem to answer my basic premise that Man Utd are not the force they were, that the victories they get against mediocre opposition in Europe are usually over hyped by many of you Mancs ,fueled by the press coverage and that, maybe, you are actually in decline and some objective analysis (which some of you are capable of) is somewhat lacking.Well, this season I think will tell us a lot and though I think you might get a result today (too tight to call, actually) it shouldn't blind you to the 'bleeding obvious'.
