Hmmm, I'd say so. Anyone else here of another opinion? Some would say Hamann, but he's basically alone in his destructive and defensive role without a license to go passed the half way line so he can hardly be classed as world class.

You're like the korean team, they won some games but I'll be damned if I remembered the name of a single korean player after their games.</strong><hr></blockquote>

So you don't know the names of many of our players?

You're an expert..

With Bergkamp aging I'd have looked to get another one in and lose Kanu..

Hardly controversial is it?

As someone mentioned above, I think Arsenal are the team to stop, I can't see them dropping their consistancy.

I just hope this season is as close as last year... with Liverpool pimping it at the end of course
:)

Bergkamp was IMO the best player in the Prem from January onwards

I think they're well covered in the striker department

The bookies have Man Utd as favourites and rightly so.</strong><hr></blockquote>

Everyone has their own opinions about who should be favourites

I suppose the bookies also have to think about how people will act? I have no doubt that most people will bet Man Utd to win the PL. Most people, just like most in here, only think last year was the odd bad year. Maybe it's so, maybe it isn't.

And the ones who bet more often know that you shouldn't bet for the team you support but for the ones who have the best odds compared to their chances. That's the way to make money but they - the bookies make their living of people thinking with their heart.

The bookies are usually last to react to a falling giant...

They can't offer high odds as the idiot vote will chuck their money on them, creating a huge exposure..

In this case Arse should clearly be the favs, yet the bookies are likely to receive more cash on you..as many will believe last season was a blip...they don't need to offer long odds to draw this cash in...

And getting back to the thread...yes, Rio would be an excellent addition to the team...

So the Arse and Pool are favourites...great! Nice to be the underdogs for a change.

Last year was freaky for Arsenal....I dont think they will end up with the same number of points....78 to 80 should win the league.

Arse are the fav's without a doubt. They were excellent last season and though I hate to admit it they were the best team. Liverpool if they get their consistency right will certainly be up there challenging and its upto us to cut out the mistakes as there was far too many last season and that cost us the title. teams dont fear us anymore, we have no pace upfront or at the back and our midfield can be bypassed. Once we sort that out we will be awesome.

Once you sort out your defence, midfield and attack you'll be awesome?

;)

We were the Premierships highest scorers last season and many seasons prior to that. Our midfield is Brilliant, All WORLD CLASS players.
Our defence defintely needs sorting out.

With regards to Liverpool, They need to learn how to attack, Defensive Strikers, and there midfield needs to become more creative, Long Ball Specialists. They definetly can defend, maybe they should watch the Spurs-United game for inspiration 5-3, probably the best second half display by any team last season.
