Hmm... getting a little too close for comfort...

It never ceases to amaze me how Beckham spells instant doom to any team featuring him. People crying out for Patrick feckin' Vieira when Edgar Davids and Paul Breitner are already on the pitch. Nutters.
I don't know what to post... the early indication was that most people quite liked my side. Then when he started catching up, I wasn't sure if throwing Zidane on the Robben to help hog the ball even more would have been a good idea...Well you're not doing badly for only making two posts

Exactly, I thought that's the best side already. But if this is a real game, with a few minutes to go, I'd now put on Makelele for Robben to help kill the game.Nah that is your best side already, it is perfect tactically and has enough individual ability to create chances forward too. For all the praise I've given Beckham, the same goes for Alves offensively. His assists speaks for itself.

I wouldn't do it myself. There hasn't been a set standard for whether that is how it is supposed to work or not. In terms of being in the lead vote wise and then acting as if you are a goal up etc.
@Šjor Bepo shooting all over the place! I would have preferred if you trusted your instincts, but I think there won't be a comeback now so it's probably irrelevant. You've made an excellent team and you got me to vote for you against my favorite team here. Well played!
A very good contest in the end, whilst I didn't post much, it was mainly because I didn't have much to say. The problem with having all modern players is that it seems ridiculous to try to explain how good Messi or Ronaldo is.the game was finished, 30 people voted and i was 10 behind....there was no chance of a comeback, if there was i wouldnt make the changes. And thank you

Everyone in my side should be more than self-explanatory.
I'm not going to disclose my bidding strategy. So Cal, I guess you got plenty of RB options next, who is it going to be on top of that?

He should pick a leftback first and then play Alves or Lahm at rightback, depending on what kind of fullback he wants in his team. He could also just spend all his money on Pele and play Messi at right wing.So Cal, I guess you got plenty of RB options next, who is it going to be on top of that?

That sounds like a good strategy. Ronaldo - Pele - MessiHe should pick a leftback first and then play Alves or Lahm at rightback, depending on what kind of fullback he wants in his team. He could also just spend all his money on Pele and play Messi at right wing.
What can Alves do that Cafu or Djalma can't and much better?Dani Alves is perfect in that role, why would you upgrade him? Peak Alves is as good as any right back in history.
