Site changes coming this Summer

Some good points in this thread. I like the idea of somehow showing what team someone supports, even if it's just in text.
Agree with the current avatar/sig policy too.

I usually try to give opponent fans a tagline that shows who they support. unless they're crap, then their tagline focuses on this.

If United manage to blow the title this year Top I'll be demanding a name change and a tagline declaring my love for City.

Well said that man.

It may have been asked or said before (I have done a bit of a search on topics for it) but is there any way to find posts that you've posted in a particular thread without going to the profile 'find posts' page?

Is there any way of adding it? There is the arrow when you go in to say 'you have posted in this thread' but some option to 'go to your posts in this thread' would be handy.

Will they be some downtime whilst the changes are implemented?

Haven't looked at the entire thread, but does the new engine support Tapatalk?

There would have to be whilst they import the database/user tables.

For a board of this size, the migration could be very complicated and will at least take a half a day if not a couple of days to iron out any bugs before it goes live again.

Saying that if all went well, technically it could be done in a few hours.

All the Xenforo installing/converting/testing could be done offline on localhost, then simply uploaded when it's done. I imagine that would be the easiest way, and the Caf would be down for less time.

It looks good Niall. The new matchday section has some good features proposed.

So when is this happening then?

Are there any plans for a regular Podcast and Blog updates Niall? They were a nice feature when done regularly. I think the Wiki has died though, sadly.

Is there any plans to have an honorary picture of Fergie put into the title/top of page?
To me, it seems like the greatest way to respect him.

maybe a ghostly image of Fergie in a Jedi robe, flickering on and off

Just his face faintly over the whole site would be nice. Like this;

ManchesterUnited.com has changed their header also to reflect a small GIF of Ferguson, now what is brilliant is that they have kept in tone with the rest of the website, shit.

Honestly, this one by Niall thrown together looks as impressive...

Hi guys, someone forgot to send me my invite to the beta thats going on at the moment, many thanks.

Meh, looks alright, would prefer the main background of the post to stay the colour it is now with the left column the grey colour it is now too. Will get used to the new one though.

Looks too much like other forums in those screenshots, whereas the caf has always felt "different" to other forums with the look.

The look has changed since those screenshots were posted.
