What happens in the future post-2024? Fake players? Don't really want that, more interesting to build teams with real players, so 2000 would work well.
 
Though it is possible to enable a setting where all future draft classes are randomly selected past players. I don't think I can make it only do that after reaching 2024 or whatever, so we'd have to start in 2024 basically. After that Wilt Chamberlain and Michael Jordan might show up in 2025, for example.
 
Actually, I just figured it out. We can start in 1995-ish, and if we make it to 2024 I am 99% sure I can then make all future draft classes be past players, so it's the best of both worlds. So I'm thinking the first 4 of you in the first draft, and then maybe 2-3 in each draft after that. That way we get a nice mix of ages and you still all get to play with each other. Also if anyone signs up after that I'll just chuck them in, as well as anyone who retires and wants another go as their own son.

Yessir.
 
Does mean some of us will be up against prime-MJ and the Bulls though :lol:

How much time are we talking here, starting 1995? No idea how this plays out (it‘s completely automated, right?) but sounds cool as a concept and I started playing&watchin b-ball exhaustingly in the mid-nineties so great throwback.

Completely automated, yes. I'll run it a season at a time and post updates for how it's going in general, and stuff like awards, trades and other interesting happenings. Right now I've got you guys coming in two at a time, except 4 in the 1995 draft class. You're coming in the 1999 draft class. It won't take too long to get there though, the game is very quick to simulate (and before everyone is in there's fewer screenshots and stuff I have to make).

Might have something to do with my goofy settings for nose/ear size to get rid of them. Maybe 1e-14 is too small...
