Is there anyone at the club that can do this. The guy is beginning to sound like Vinnie Jones. He will end up spending the season on the sidelines. To bring up the Shearer incident again is unbelievable. He stated in his book that he was ashamed after he did it, yet no he is saying he should have punched him rather than push him.
<a href="http://www.soccernet.com/england/news/2002/1114/20021114mufckeane.html" target="_blank">Keane</a>

What is going on with the guy???

I was wondering the same thing after I read that on sportinglife.com

Keano, get yourself sorted <img src="graemlins/nono.gif" border="0" alt="[No No]" />

Personally i find it refreshing that a top footballer tells it as it is. This should be promoted. All players do videos, books etc and im sick of the "oh i never intend to hurt a player" shit.
It shows what stiffs the FA are for reacting on words rather than actions, ie Shearers kick in the face on Lennon.

I agree with Keano:-
If your going to get sent of, you might as well of chinned him.

I agree with Murt that it's good to hear the truth. But I would prefer that it would be somebody else, or not right now atleast...

And I'm against any kind of violence on the pitch. When a player in a team of ManUtd's status does something like that (punch somebody or anything) there will be 10.000 kids that do the same thing next time they are playing. I know for sure.

i for one would have loved to see roy, bitch slap big alan! what makes me laugh about old mary poppins is, he can kick people in the head and get away with it! such a saint!

Murt he told the truth in the book and was applauded for it despite receiving a ban and a fine. This is tacky bullshit. No need for it!

After being banned once already for something like this, a book which makes him money, to now release a video, which makes him money, and he could get banned again for - is putting himself above the team.

Michael Owen would shite in his dippers at the sight of Keane.

Wake up and smell the coffee people!

Its not about saints and sinners. We're not in the fookin school yard. This is Manchester United and we're trying to get back on track to win the Prem and the ECL. Pointless outbursts like Keano's just piss people off.

We need our captain back on the field pulling everyone together. If he cant stick to doing that then he should piss off to Celtic and give O'Neil the headache.

Keane is clearly losing his marbles...

oh i doubt it. . .he'd just call keane a prick and keane would snap and get sent off.

owen's far too clever for a neanderthal like keane i'm afraid.

keane is slowly losing respect IMO.. he's going to come back a loser if he doesn't stop with this madness.. didn't anyone scan this video? how come they're letting keane come out with all these things regularly without any look at it??? it's absurd! i thought one of the club's jobs was to protect its players from doing stupid things that could harm them and the club?

I think Wanker was talking from a diferent perspective as in a real fight, nothing to do with morals and cleverness MOM.

Hmm, wonder if the FA will do anything towards this.

100% true, and he could've gone pro but chose to be a footballer. he was a feckin' mean little boxer, fast as lightning.

Haven't heard about this, but I'm presuming he's making the point that he was sent off for a minor offence so it might as well have been a major one.

Taken out of context probably, but maybe he should be exercising just a little more discretion at the moment. Because no matter how innocent the remark, the Press will twist it.

yeah but always going down. At least he took his skills from the ring into the penalty box. Anyway, Keano would "muller" Shearer. Surely with Children in Need at the end of the week someone could set this up to raise money for charity??

he's a moron.

he's actually saying that he'd have preferred a 6-game ban instead of a 3-game ban.

loony.

Keane says: 'I was sent off for pushing him (Shearer) - but if you`re going to get sent off, you might as well punch him properly. It's the same punishment.

'You might as well get hung for a sheep as a lamb. It was just a push, though. Ridiculous.'

Where does he say I would prefer a 6 match ban in the above? Punching Shearer would have led to a 3 match ban, the same as pushing him. Point is if you get the same punishment you may as well punch him.

Where does he imply he 'wishes' he had punched him?

He shouldn't be giving them anything to talk about. There was no need for this crap to be brought up again. Silly. Should use this period to get fit and stay out of the papers.

When exactly do you think the video was made? You're assuming that is has been done recently. These comments may have been made 6 months ago before the media witch-hunt.

<a href="http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/m/man_utd/2471991.stm" target="_blank">Beeb</a>

Looks like he's in the clear. The sooner he's back on the pitch and not talking bollox to journos etc. the better!
<img src="graemlins/houllier.gif" border="0" alt="[Houllier]" />

I seem to recall that he rued missing Shearer with his punch in his book.

I wish he had connected as well.

I agree with Keano that he should have knocked the hell out of Shearer, but I'm really beginning to question Roy. What's with all the talking, he really is being selfish. He is hurting not just himself with all his ignorant comments, but hurting the whole club. Keane is fantastic, but NO ONE is bigger than United.

Roy.. shut the feck up and remember that you will have plenty of time to nut the asshole after your playing career is over. Now is the wrong time.

Maybe he can box Van Der Vaart when he comes to Anfield in January.

What you meant to say is Owen is the ex of a boxer.
