It was that or calling you Gilfoyle for the vertical monitor you want.
Def good stuff; make sure you keep us posted on the completed project!it’s my first real proper corner! Used always be at the main tv, then my wife became pregnant so she slept a lot on the couch in front of the tv as it was the only place she could get comfortable.
so I then got a small coffee table and put our secondary tv on it in the corner of the same room. That worked until our little boy arrived and now it’s a padded area with toys and playmats!
then with lockdown happening at the same time, I gradually moved from the kitchen table to upstairs to work for quiet as the baby started making his presence known - the rest was what i posted above!
No sleeping on it yet with our little 5 month old boy bouncing around the place!!! A few cheeky games when work is quiet - but should get more time now with our boy about to go on solids and sleep on his own in his own cot, that’s when we get our evenings back!!
it’s a work in progress for sure. Still need to move some shit out (upstairs is generally unused, it leads to a walk-in attic) like old couches and some filing cabinets.
Very nice. I have a lot of food for thought from this thread. Lots of nice set ups in here!Great thread @Fortitude and I share your sentiments. I am wanting to get a PS5 (will have to wait to next year) and a new TV. Have been looking at a new TV cabinet and you are right very hard to decide and get the measurements right. I think I am going for this one

Should fit a PS5 and a 55inch TV on there
Perfect time for a bump. So how are you housing your PS5's?Part plea, part curiosity.
I got rid of both of mine because they were ancient, but finding replacements is proving to be ridiculously difficult. Seems modern TV cabinets have very few open shelves, instead housing the majority of the stuff behind doors and such, which makes little sense to me given the sensors needing to interface with the remotes/controllers. Open doors are also an eyesore, so what's going on there then? Furthermore, the monstrosity that is the PS5 needs a ridiculous amount of space, so how will you be accommodating yours?
I've a super tower case and need a very large workstation in both height and width (monitors), which is again proving difficult to find. I can't be the only one with a super tower, so how you guys housing yours, or have you got it freestanding?
Show us your kit, or recommendations! Cheers!
Famous last words
If you think its just about okay then do not risk it. Can you imagine if one day you turn it on and the thing shuts down on itself?
TV/Gaming setup in bedroom
Was your cabinet made for you? If no, where did you purchase it from? I’ve something like it in my head, but can’t find anything of the sort online.
Oh! Nice price, too. Thanks for the link.Got the unit online from Furniture123. Below is the link but I can see it’s increased in price.

Where did you get that.
Had it made; otherwise I wasn't gonna get all the things I wanted.Where did you get that.
I built one of those DIY ambilights from an RPi and Arduino into Hyperion, I think it looks mint. The pictures definately don't do it justice. Need to align my IKEA cabinets so they don't look as ratty, and I'll make some sort of MDF top for it so it's not so obviously £18 cabinets...
I tried to upload a football demo but it got blocked for copyright haha.
Very nice. Looking for something similar, but with 2 drawers on the bottom.Had it made; otherwise I wasn't gonna get all the things I wanted.
Yeah, they take to being upcycled quite well - need some short copper wire feet and handles.Looking very nice. That BESTA line from IKEA?
Phillips do a non-addressable version (each side of the TV is one colour) for about £400 but it's underwhelming. The Kickstarter projects (DreamScreen, Lightpack) have mostly died with Hyperion but you might get one on eBay for £200? The DIY one isn't too difficult just a bit fiddly and less than £100.And as there's no way I could do something like that by myself, is there a non-DIY version of that lightning, and just how expensive it would be?
More of the globe booze cabinet please.I’m the only grownup here it appears.

Passed out German hookers and empty bags of weed? How are all yours so clean and tidy?
My computer desk looks like the floor of an Amsterdam coffee shop.
I find it a bit puzzling...I like your living room.
