Has to be outlawed.
Yep.Havertz came to a complete stop there for a split second. Ridiculous that it wasn't called. What a joke.
This wasn't a stutter, he completely stopped. Shocking decision to not retake it.
That what I thought. At least 15 years ago.Feck them off. I'm sure there was a rule against it, but they either got rid of it or don't enforce it.
It's just a joke. Watching a shootout of 10+ takers doing this shit will be like pulling teeth.

Lewandowski completely stopped three times in his one against France:
But that's fine. The keeper being 1mm off his line after the 15th stutter = not fine.
It's fine if you keep moving forward towards the ball, but you can't just complete fake to shoot and stop. It’s a silly rule, but they are allowed to do it.

There's a difference between a stutter - allowed, and stopping completely - not allowed.
Crowding the ref is an immediate card for anyone who does it.Opposition players are also stupid for not crowding the ref to dispute it.
It's supposed to be but it's barely enforced and if it forces the ref to look at something that overturns a goal then it's a yellow worth taking.Crowding the ref is an immediate card for anyone who does it.

No, it’s cheating. Havertz stopped before he struck the ball, he should have been made to retake it. It’s not a fair 50:50 for the GK.
That'd be automatic yellow cards for all of them. Crowding the ref doesn't happen in this EuroOpposition players are also stupid for not crowding the ref to dispute it.

This was disallowed and was nowhere near as bad.
They are ugly as sin and i automatically hate any player who does them. I’m not even sure they have a higher success rate.
Except it is, though.
In the official 2024/25 IFAB Laws of the Game, there is significant room to allow a penalty taker to stop and start their run-up multiple times before striking the ball.
The only restriction is one clear guideline: "Feinting to kick the ball once the kicker has completed the run-up (feinting in the run-up is permitted)."

Does the Bruno and Jorginho hop count as a stutter pen?
It’s a good question and I almost mentioned Bruno in the above post.
It’s certainly more aesthetic, less annoying (to me), and I think pretty successful?
