No I don't think so. I think with a few good young players coming through, we want him to make a real impression at the Euro's/world cup. I think he's earnt that after being unfortunate in the past with injuries. I think though Rio, hargreaves , brown, owen , etc should. If Rooney helped win them the next Euros? Hopefully he'd retire early and blame it all on the FA and Media.
