Shea Lacey

This guy just needs to stay fit. Obviously has physical limitations but he's the clear jewel in the academy based on pure ability.

Looked to be bigger as well, not so small relatively to the others

Great to see Shea Lacey back, we need him to get a run of games together to build up his fitness.

Played really well, unlucky to come away without an assist. Hope to see him starting games soon.

He no longer looks so abnormally small which is a relief because that would definitely have been a big obstacle to him succeeding at the club. Must have been putting him on Messi's super serum for the last year.

Yeah he looks like he's grown a bit, hopefully he gets one more growth spurt

Has Lacey gotten injured again - missing from FAYC tonight. These injury challenges must be so disappointing for him.

This account has gotten some ”exclusives” wrong in the past but anyway…

Poor lad, he's having a nightmare. Best case its just growing pains but you'd have to be pretty worried with this volume of injuries. Would be a travesty if he doesn't get an opportunity to give his best shot to senior football.

Doesn't seem to be anything major which is good news, hopefully back in a couple of weeks.

One of the most talented players Ive seen from Carrington, but I can't imagine him suddenly staying fit all the time.

From the current crop, would give Thwaites, Obi and maybe Mantato the chance to really break through. You're rarely allowed ifs, buts and maybes never mind how talented you are.

Hope the injuries are to be finally over. I remember Messi had a worrying record of injuries before turning 20 but had quite a career without being disrupted by injuries late on.

I read somewhere that his older brother is 6ft 1 and the club have done tests and expect him be get somewhere near.
If this is true then it makes him an even more outstanding prospect than he already is because with extra height he will gain pace and power, both of which I think are the question marks that hang over his long term potential at this age.

The injuries could be a worry but we barely saw Mctominay for 2 years and he's been ever present since he turned 20. It also looks like Moorhouse is on a similar path. I'd be more worried if he had a single major injury.
