Shane Warne Retires

 not even a sport, the olympics should stick with track and some others but curling:nono:
only realised it existed when those fat birds were all over my tv screen

Ohhh yes, Panesar he's the guy now in the record books as having the most runs scored of a single over in an Ashes test. :wenger:

wasn't getting laughed at the first time you posted this enough for you?

he's the Sikh of Tweak.
but then you'd know that if you knew feck all about cricket.

I was merely quoting what other posters have called him on this forum.

Compared to Warne he doesn't fecking tweak or spin it!

Given your age, I've probably forgotten more things about cricket than you'll ever know!

the poor bloke did brilliantly...8 wickets on debut and some pretty nifty runs to boot.

yet you choose to fixate on one over.

either you've forgotten everything or your tagline is an understatement.

lighten up.

I'm just being realistic, before the last test started there was all this ''Get Monty In The Team'' euphoria going on, as if he was our new saviour.

Monty's OK, but let's face it, he's not a new Shane Warne (I wish).

Adam Gilchrist has now given him an introduction to Ashes test cricket.

Let's now see what happens in the next two tests.

I know its highly unlikely but imagine if he fails to get a wicket in his last test and ends his career on 699
Thats why hes retiring after two more games.

Like I said, after his last test,if he hasnt got another wicket

hehe
Reminds me of another Aussie git who retired with a batting average of 99.94 ;)

He'll be bowling constantly from one end until he gets a wicket... even if it takes 2 days. There's not a chance the Aussie's will let him retire on 699 when the test is utterly meaningless otherwise.

both his 600th and McGrath's 500th were Trescothick.

the thought of being the 700th's probably what tipped him over the edge.

(joke, Marcus...get well soon :nervous: )

We should cancel the rest of the tour, or throw all our wickets away in the first few overs, just to stop him getting the 700

That would be the grown-up thing to do
This is the best idea I've heard for some time. That'd wipe the smile of the fat cnuts face. Let's face it, we've already lost and we're going to get stuffed in the last two tests so stopping Warne getting 700 wickets is about all we've got left.

He takes it up the arse, you know!
