....after the Sydney Test. Top story on Channel 9 news just now.

Press conference as early as tomorrow morning apparently. Surely the greater bowler of all time?

You obviously ain't seen Monty Panesar...
Monty has a long way to go

but here begs the question

where will the wickets come from?

Feel like I have been shot.

Summer watching the cricket with Warney going nuts. I have grown up with the fat bastard and I dunno if it will be the same without him.

Might head down to Sydney to try and catch the 5th day to say goodbye to the greatest I will ever see.

It'll all be over in 4 days.
... or possibly 3.

I saw Warne's first wicket with that wonder ball against Gatting at Old Trafford and I was there when he took his 600th also at Old Trafford in 2005. Even from the boundary, you could tell the Gatting ball was something incredible. Comfortably the best bowler of his time and he took all the shit the crowd threw at him over the years in good part also.

I can't believe his wrist is natural though. I'm sure it's some form of bionic device!

That's disappointing.

Still has plenty to offer.

Agreed Melb. He could carry on at least till he's 40.

Thanks for the great memories Warne, greatest ever spin bowler we are ever likely to see.

Hip.

Although, I'm not really a fan of blue turbans, something like this would look great on the field.

From Plech "And good fecking riddance"

You really are the biggest tosser

I can see the argument for that but its not obvious at all. Infact it isnt even likely. There are plenty of bowlers out there with better records than him. But great player, among the two best spinners i've seen and definately one of the best of this generation. Dont think there will be another leg spinner like him a long time.

I'm sure could carry on for another couple of Ashes series if he wanted, I don't see him ever 'losing it', but I guess here he goes out on top. Undeniably one of the greatest cricketers of all time, be a sad loss to the game but a cracking day for English cricket! I'm sure McGrath will go, you can already see the decline in his game, he's continually declining in pace, and it's the right time for him to go.

Is the other spinner Murali? If so I think there's no question who's the better of the two, one has a genuine bowling action and the other is a blatant chucker! Unfortunately he'll take over Warne as the all time leading wicket taker, which I feel will tarnish the sport somewhat. That noted, I'm glad he's at Lancs, if he's gunna chuck em for anyone, I'd rather it be for us!

Theres apparently technically nothing wrong with his action, or atleast thats what they say. Most of the cricket world doesnt think he chucks, thats good enough for me. Warne is probably the luckier of the two and should have been banned for more than a year. Then theres Warne taking all his wickets against batsman who are rubbish against spin. Its close, but i can undestand those who have reservations about his(Murli) action. Warbe is possibly the best spinner of all time, i just cant see how hes the best bowler of all time.

I'm no cricket fan but watching him bowl in the Ashes last summer was a revelation. A total genius.

Michael Holding, perhaps one of those vying for the greatest bowler of all time accolade, thinks he's a chucker. He's not happy that he's been found innocent of illegal bowling in the laboratory, and I'm not either. They have to find a means of testing the legality of his action in actual pressurised test match conditions. Even then, they had to change the rules to make his doosra legal.

according to my friend who knows quite a bit about criket, shayne warne is a fat crackhead auzzie that takes drugs of his mum and is balding.
he also said hes quite a good curling spins bowler

I think you'll find that's a totally different sport! ;)
i meant spin bowler, i think i know what curling is,
isnt it that sport where the 6 fat scottish women that just came out of the pub won in the olympics, where they hit a big ball with a broom?

Correct, but the really important part of that game is shouting ''HURRY HURRY!'' ;)
