It's fecking awful. The man was a genius and will be surely missed but it's absolutely tragic that in so many people's eyes he will be remembered for that song
I don't think it's awful at all especially for a Christmas song which are always a bit cringe. Don't think he'll only be remembered for that either and it's certainly not tragic. Probably brought more people to his music even.

Yeah ok maybe not awful but i still feel it's a shame if he is only remembered for that song.

He isn't and he won't be. That song will always be played at Xmas but he's written so many amazing songs that will continue to be sung for a very long time, especially in Ireland.
