Sevilla’s Lucas Ocampos is touched on backside by fan - ‘I hope La Liga takes it as seriously as racism’

Nah, not conceding on this. He's saying "If it had been Jenni Hermoso...". You and I both what that shite is about, there's no need to pretend. The fact you and @Spaghetti got triggered because I pointed it out (or maybe it was the Zack Snyder mention, which would be even more pathetic) should make you think a bit. I was also, very, very clearly, only talking about that Twitter user and people like him who love the "if it had been a woman" shtick, that was very obvious in my post and pretending it was not not is weird. The only thing I´ll say you're right about though is the use of the "straight" adjective. I can't be 100% sure so I'll happily take it back.

You were not “very, very clearly only talking about that Twitter user” because you said “straight, white men”. I have no statistics, but that’s quite a lot more than one. I know a lot of straight, white men and they have very a variety of attributes (good and bad). You wouldn’t say the same thing with different adjectives and nouns.

“It’s pathetic” and “it’s weird” are not appropriate in many posts, but certainly not here.

I wasn’t “triggered” by your post either, and I have never heard of Zack Snyder.

You're just purposely misquoting what I wrote, which is stupid, considering the full posts are still there. I wrote "that Twitter user and...", to include people who are constantly saying "if it had been a woman..." to highlight men's oppression when it comes to inappropriate behaviour. And originally, I was talking about "these anti-woke warriors", and it's extremely obvious that when I wrote "oppressed straight white man whinging" I was talking about that subgroup of men (anti-woke warriors) not all straight white men. Also, I've already retracted the word "straight" as I certainly can't prove he is.

Is a man's arse so very sexual? A hairy, shit smeared crack?

What about a pat on the head? That's much worse because all of our thoughts, dreams, loves and experiences are in there.

Well if he's going to go around wearing shorts like that in public, what can he expect.

A shirikodama is a small ball that contains a person's soul and is found in the anus, according to Japanese myth.

I have no other contribution to the thread, but I'm glad I finally got to use that random fact.

Now that we're discussing Japan and anuses, don't children down there have a game/prank where they poke unsuspecting friends anuses and shout something along the lines of "Kan cho"?

You're so deep in ideology that you don't even realise how hypocritical you are. The language you use, the irrelevant argument you make (i don't know who synder is) all speaks to a person terminally online and engaged in some weird culture battle. Your thinking is inconsistent and illogical and you don't like hearing it, but you're no different to the 'right wing' you're denouncing

We're in a thread with countless sexual assault jokes. I wouldn't expect most people here to understand why generalizing about "straight white men" isn't the big deal they think it is.

This thread is gas. Some of you lot are unwell. If he stuck his finger up a person’s arse without consent then it’s sexual assault. This isn’t a woke issue, it’s just a not getting finger blasted at work issue.

Not really. I would say "what the feck, don't do that again" and get on with my life. If someone came to my place of work and just poked me gently in the bum I would probably say "whoa there" and get on with my life. If they tried to do it again I would escalate but no, it wouldn't really cause me any distress.

I'd be more bothered if I was trying to go about my day and there was a crowd of people hurling abuse at me constantly and swearing at me. Then again, my work requires concentration and quiet so it would be weird to have a crowd there.

Are you having a laugh? They'd be fired on the spot if anyone witnessed that.

You'd just be casually having a coffee with them at break time after they did that. That's very strange.

So youre telling me one day you decided to search for "anus related japanese myth"?

Interesting comments.

For me it is very different if he’s put his finger up his anus. That’s sexual assault by penetration and rather serious.

If he’s simply poked his bum cheek then I’d be inclined to say it’s a simple assault rather than a sexual assault as you’d have thin grounds to argue the touching is sexual by nature in my opinion. Obviously this would be different if it were a grope as clearly there’s a sexual element to that in terms of what the individual gets out of it.

Either way though the individual should be getting banned as you simply can’t behave like that.

Did they actually stick their finger up the players bum? Or did they just touch it. The video on twitter appears to have been removed.

While both could be considered sexual assault, I think if his bum was just touched that he's maybe making it into a bigger deal, especially if he's referencing female footballers in his complaint. Feels like it could be slightly politically motivated?

If he's had someone try to shove a finger up his arse then that's a bit different and I think most would take issue with that.

Interesting. So the law would differentiate between touching someone on the ass depending on whether or not it could be construed as sexual in nature?

So someone who patted a team mate on their ass while playing sports is unlikely to be done for sexual assault? (asking for a friend :nervous:)

The idea that your soul is - sort of - lodged in your arse seems intuitively right to me.

It's not clear but I think he's jus poked his bum.

Now, I've not much finger in the arse inserting experience but I don't think you could actually put your finger up someones arse without a damn bit more leverage than he had there.

But yeah it's clearly a massive difference. If a stranger poked my bum I'd be a bit annoyed. If a stranger tried to put a finger in my anus I can't say for sure but I imagine I'd be wanting to hurt that person.

Yeah, pretty much. I’ve just looked up the sexual aspect in legislation and copied it here (these things are always wordy);

…penetration, touching or any other activity is sexual if a reasonable person would consider that—

(a)whatever its circumstances or any person’s purpose in relation to it, it is because of its nature sexual, or

(b)because of its nature it may be sexual and because of its circumstances or the purpose of any person in relation to it (or both) it is sexual.

So some acts are sexual be their very nature and are therefore much easier to prove however others are not and as such it would be dependent on the circumstances and purpose behind it.

I’d say a general poke on the bum falls in to the latter category whilst a full on grope, or inserting something inside, would be sexual by definition (intimate, activities linked to sexual attraction etc).
