Series, you wished had lived longer

"Shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit"

Good shout.

I tried to like Studio 60 and The West Wing but never quite could. My problem was always with Aaron Sorkin's scripts, both because of the dialogue and the "Hollywoodness" of the storylines. Everything that happened felt like it had been ticked off a set of formulaic plot development points that the writers had picked up at film school. I appreciate that any good drama has to have a bit romance and tension and conflict and the rest, but I could never help but feel it was too transparent with these two shows.

Quantum Leap.

I used to love that show. But I always wondered what would have happened when Scot Bakula was in the the body of a woman who was getting boned. If I'd been Al I probably would have stayed to watch.

Deadwood.

What feckin' turn of events led to this goddamn show bein' goddamn cancelled? Cocksuckers!

Give this man a cookie.

Deadwood is one of my favourite shows of all time and there was supposed to be a couple of follow up movies to wrap things up, but unfortunately they don't look like materialising. It was criminal not giving this another season and even worse not giving the fans closure.

Yeah, it seems to be finished for good. Damn them.

Loved this show.

Last two Red Dwarf series were shite.
Agree RE Blackadder.
As for battle of the Planets. Best cartoon series, ever.

Did any of you folks in America watch that American football series "Playmakers" why did it end after one season?

Anyone who mentions friends in this thread obviously wouldn't know comedy if it took a steamy dump on their pillow.

Brimstone.
A cop back from the dead by the devil to collect 113 demon who ran away from hell. Excellent show, John Glover as The Devil is the highlight.

I don't know anybody remember this show: Profit. It got blackmail, murder, bribery and all that was done by the lead character.
From wiki:
Considered by many to be ahead of its time, the show was a precursor to a cutting edge television genre that includes Nip/Tuck and Mad Men. Dark themes stemming from the villainy of the central character made the show uncomfortable and unfamiliar viewing for mainstream audiences and Fox station affiliates, which ultimately led to the demise of the series.
