Blocking a move to Everton because we know they are a threat to our European prospects. Says it all.
Is that true? Every semi or final we dumped him in favour of De Gea we lost?

Last season he played 17 games, won 15 and drawn 2. The semis against City, Sevilla and Chelsea we had De Gea and lost them all.Is that true? Every semi or final we dumped him in favour of De Gea we lost?
Ed probably visit the team before each match for a pep talk.No wonder the players look dead on the pitch. There's probably a toxic environment brewing behind the scenes yet again, just like in Mourinho's last season.
We are cursed after too long being on top. This is our repayment for becoming the biggest English club.
He earned those matches. Terrific clean sheet record and that's an amazing win percentage last season. Shit management, in my opinion.Last season he played 17 games, won 15 and drawn 2. The semis against City, Sevilla and Chelsea we had De Gea and lost them all.
Season before he played when we got knocked out v Derby in the League Cup and Wolves in the FA Cup 6th round. No semis there.
Season before he was benched for the FA Cup final against Chelsea which we lost.
Could very easily make the argument that even if he did play we'd have probably lost because they were against good teams. Still think that we should have started him in some of them, like how we did in the Europa final. Good management from Mou there.
Lee Grant played in the Debry match didn't he?Last season he played 17 games, won 15 and drawn 2. The semis against City, Sevilla and Chelsea we had De Gea and lost them all.

I was joking mate
He’s worth good money to be fair. 10 million at least.
Romero got a red card around the 67th minuteLee Grant played in the Debry match didn't he?
Poor Romero, he was loyal and never kicked up a fuss. They binned him but don't want him to go anywhere. This is not how you treat people, disgusting.
Do you honestly believe the club don't want to sell him? His wife is asking for the club to terminate his contract and let him go for free.Poor Romero, he was loyal and never kicked up a fuss. They binned him but don't want him to go anywhere. This is not how you treat people, disgusting.

I'd honestly say it's more the decision of not being able to move him on that's part of destroying the club. Now we have to pay full wages to a guy who prob won't feature at all. I hope he goes in January at least. To be honest she should shut the feck up. She’s probably been living a luxury life on the back of the wages we’ve been paying Romero for the last five years. He hasn’t been playing for free.
Get to feck the club owe it to him to release him. If he wants he can buy himself out.
For a back up goalkeeper he actually plays a lot of games, 17 in fact last season.
Now he’s been relegated to third choice the dummy is out. It’s this sort of entitlement that is destroying this club.
In a way what you're saying is probably exactly why we havent moved him. I find it hard to imagine there arent a bunch of solid clubs willing to bite our hand off to get Sergio - but with Henderson back I assume Ole or someone else doesnt feel comfortable alienating one of the two yet. Once you get rid of Sergio Ole is virtually forced to make it clear who the true no. 1 is. Now he can still act like they re both benching someone. They should let him go or more preferably sell De gea on a low transfer and keep Romero as number 2. Romero staying makes me hope that De gea will be moved on when he eventually gets dropped for Henderson.
De gea isnt a goalkeeper, he is just a third post in the middle of the goal.
It's a necessary tactical move. Unfortunately.Blocking a move to Everton because we know they are a threat to our European prospects. Says it all.
Its all about money with Ed. Done the same with Darmian and wasted 2 years of his career eventually letting him go for a small fee anyway. It's a necessary tactical move. Unfortunately.
Yes, people wanted DDG dropped for himFeel for him.
When he’s played for us the last year or two he’s been better than De Gea has been.
Feel for him.

People were adamant we were going to get £10 million for him, but it was never going to happen. We should have just taken a small loan fee and wages being covered.
Chances of us activating the year extension to try and get a fee next year?
Not Ole's job to keep them happy. He can still go to a Championship club.
Feel for him.

Does anyone have any idea/ guess about what wages he's on? Surely keeping him around is just an unnecessary cost (even if it's 50 grand a week that's still around 2.5 million for the year).
Really weird that he hasn't gone yet.
Sick of wags gobbing off. You wouldn't be happy with your wife giving it large on LinkedIn would you? Why do they keep doing it on an even bigger platform, with way more eyes on them? The only answer is because there's too much power in the player's hands so they know they can get away with it.
But anyway, we should resepect what Romero wants, while protecting our own interests (not selling to rivals). You'd think he'd want a number 1 spot somewhere. Guess being a backup keeper is an easy gig though.
He wasn’t. Just poor level opposition - he didn’t make any miraculous saves or anything. When he’s played for us the last year or two he’s been better than De Gea has been.
I feel what you are saying and agree to an extent but is it better now when we are going to have to pay his full wages for prob an entire season? And it's not just him there's still the likes of Rojo, Jones, Lingard etc who most likely won't get many minutes att all being payed each month to do feck all. I'd rather get rid of them all even if it meant getting £5m in total just to clear some space wages wise. How is it part of destroying the club that we're not shipping players out for feck all? We bitch and moan about Liverpool getting rid of their dross for high fees, then we turn around and bitch and moan about not allowing fringe players to move for feck all. Bizarre. The club had every intention to allow Romero to leave for a fair fee and Everton, or anyone else for that matter, were interested in paying it.
Says who? Selling Romero to Everton doesn´t make much of a difference. I think it´s more that United actually wanted some money. He must be worth something, so why give him away for free. Someone will pick him up in January.Blocking a move to Everton because we know they are a threat to our European prospects. Says it all.
