Sergio Aguero

This could the biggest transfer window ever. Mbappe, Griezemann, Sanchez, Morata, De Gea, Aguero, Aubameyang potentially swapping clubs.

Seriously enough, I don't think Aguero will remain with City next season, he's just not the kind of striker Pep prefers. He scores goals when playing with them but the team plays more fluent and comfortably with Jesus upfront as his dynamic movements with Sane and Sterling is what Pep prefers from his attacking line. He has always got problems with number 9 players since Barca except maybe less at Bayern.

He's not properly in Pep's plan at City and if he stayed he'll be a sub I think as what Pep was doing before Jesus injury.

I'm not sure what Duncan Castles is up too...Hart and Aguero?

Good player but don't see him trading allegiance from City to United. He's a quality striker but Pep would be stupid to let him go. The ship has sailed for him to go to Barca or Real. Real seem more interested in getting Lewa, Mbappe or Auba. Bayern would only get Aguero if Lewa leaves. Juve could be a possible destination. Chelsea may be interested considering Diego Costa will leave for China. Other than those, no other top club would be willing to pay his wages.

I think it is more likely a personality clash is involved.

Pep always seems to struggle managing player with stronger personality e.g. Eto, Ibra, Yaya, Dante, Riberyetc.

Those player had complaints along the lines of lack of respect from Pep, he never said anything to their face, he is not human, lives in his own world etc

Personality has a part involved, sure. I always thought Pep isn't really the friendly person he appears with in press and matches and this is proved from the way some of his players talk about him after he left their teams.

But the style of play is also an important factor. He doesn't seem to like having a main target upfront but to play with dynamic attack that can interchange their position with other players and help in the build up of the attack, something that some number 9s will struggle with, while players like Jesus shit this more. The only number 9 he got no problems with was Lewandweski at Bayern but Eto'o, Zlatan and Ageuro all struggled with him.

The problem with that argument is that both Aguero and Eto have shown their flexibility under other coaches. In fact Ibra was doing fine until the famous "text message on the bus" when Messi demanded that he plays in the middle instead of Ibra. I think Pep is just more comfortable with players who defer to him with no agitation.

I think this shows they were comfortable with different style of plays than Pep's one so it still makes the argument valid, they couldn't work in his system but worked in other managers' ones.

Agree with that personality part.

Even if all parties were willing, I don't think Aguero would want to make a move to rivals. He just isn't that sort of a guy. He'll stay and decide to fight for his dues in training, and prove his worth on the pitch, like he always has. If Pep doesn't budge on that, he'll go back to Argentina, like he always wanted. Guy has some class and respect for his fans, even if he shows a nasty streak from time to time.

Would love him here, though. Big fan. Would sort out our goalscoring issues for the next three years till Rashford is ready to take centre-stage.

Think Duncan Castles has destroyed the last vestiges of his reputation here. There is a difference between a journo being a fanboy and being an ITK--he is both a fanboy and a pretend ITK.

I'd love it just to see the reaction on bluemoon.

Posters burning their Aguero jersey would mentioned numerous times. Might even see videos.

I'm not the type to get jealous of rival players and in fact would willingly rate players no matter the alliance.

However; I personally think augero is severely overrated. Sure he was pivotal for city to bring them up with the big boys but he hasn't really taken them any further.

I like this idea of taking the best players from our rivals.

Aguero from city.
Sanchez from Arsenal
Hazard from Chelsea
Kane from spurs...

... and Dave the kit man from Liverpool.

This is most likely Mou's mischief making. i think city might sell us hart but no way they will give us aguero. I would take him though.
The article also states that this will be in addition to Griezmann, so i think we are now surely in the market for a striker and i guess we will explore every option.

Tbh I don't want him. Aside from the fact I doubt city would sell their star player to us, he's injury prone and I fecking hate his guts so yeah, do not want. Great player though.

Well it would make sense. Dont think its going to happen though.
However, in my opinion he would be the best option if we are looking for a traditional striker out of all names mentioned. Him and Griezman could do some damage to any team.

Castles has posted a whole host of shite all season. He's somehow perceived as being very reliable still, which I can only assume is down to relentlessly kissing Mourinho's ass.
Yep, he was always pedalling crap like this when José was at Chelsea as well!

You're right that the story is about Castles shitting the bed.
There's a good story waiting to be written with Pep and Aguero at odds about his role in the team and whether or not the situation can be resolved. Maybe chuck in the name of a realistic potential destination club but for a variety of reasons he couldn't go to United while under contract to City.

A missed open goal from Castles.

Good point and I am curious to where he might actually go. Any realistic options for him? Or will he be content with bench warming?

He's already adjusted his game to try to please Pep but similar to Ibra at your place there is a feeling that the team plays better without him so an exit may be on the cards.
Have heard PSG mentioned as a possibility and the perennial China link too but zero chance of another English team IMO.

Always loved Aguero as a player, even though he's a Bertie Magoo if Jose can do it then please get it done. Wonderful player who always fecks us, so that would be worth 55 million alone.

Seriously, I remember Jose saying that in England it's different and players don't move from a rival club but I think he holds Italian values on this sense so I can definitely see him going for Aguero. Whether City are willing to sell is entirely different matter.

Are PSG selling a striker? Or just adding to their ranks?

People are shitting on Castles, you're forgetting he literally breaks all the big transfers for Mourinho and Mendez. He basically works for them.

Not sure. Am no expert on their dealings but they have the money and are unlikely to be regarded as a direct rival so a team like them or a Milan team would be my idea of a realistic destination should there be a transfer.

He may well be but it's obviously just a poor attempt at mischief making.

I don't really see why though? What's the end game? Just to troll City fans? If so Castles is a fecking legend lol

Castles is clueless and I've lost count of how many things he has gotten wrong since Mourinho became our manager.

I would love him to come, but cannot see it. Certainly a better option than James bl**dy Rodrigues.

If this happens, I'll be so bloody happy. He was one of my favourite players at Atletico, his goal record is ridiculous and just a right finger to Pep if he was successful and City.
