Sergej Milinković-Savić

Finally he went somewhere, I swear every year there has been talk about him leaving for some top club.

What’s going to happen to all these players if the SA doesn’t grow?
The same that happened to those who went to China. They’ll go back home or to another league and laugh their asses of because someone paid them all this obscene money.

Imagine turning down €140m for this guy and then telling everyone about it?
Most of these guys don't care about the actual clubs, but they care about fan adoration, and turning down the money looks good and buys them some time, keeping a fan favorite.

The jump in salary is huge for him. No wonder he took that offer
20m a year is absolutely mental. He’s probably only made about half of that his entire career!

I think the end goal is to have some of their clubs join the inevitable Super League. Until then, they'll keep buying players to stay relevant.

The big thing KSA has over China is its relative proximity to Europe. There'd still be plenty of logistical issues to overcome if they wanted weekly games with English or Spanish clubs, but they're at least closer than some of the teams United have played in Europe in recent years.

He has been at Lazio for 8 years. And he’s been earning around 6M/year (3,2M after taxes)… Their highest earner alongside Immobile… So he’s probably already made more than 20M over this period. But still insane to make the same amount in one year…

He is getting his net salary multiplied by 6… Had he joined a bigger European club he’d be expecting to double his Lazio wage, but not more.

Crazy that Lazio always wanted crazy money for him and now he leaves for "just" 40 million.

Yeah with a minimum of fuss and hes gone. Just shows how mental the valuations have been in Italy over the last few years. Imagine what they could have done with the money they have left on the table by pricing players out of moves.

The serbian Pogba, he was supposed to be the next big thing 4-5 years ago. Now he's going to saudi arabia Lazio's president must be delighted.
