Is he a winger,?
Can play both wings, played mostly as RW for Bayern, but he's a goalscorer and can also play up top. I'd like to get him for this reason mostly, because we can rotate Ronaldo (he shouldn't be a definite starter too).

he is a right winger. He played at times on the left and very rarely as second striker. He never played as CF.

Would love to sign him but think I’ve seen how this pans out before when it comes to the German media linking us with a Bayern player who’s current contract is due to expire.

He's great but I don't necessarily think he's going to be suited to where we are at the moment.
Bayern is perfect for him.

I'm pretty sure ive seen him play up top on occasion as well, at Arsenal possibly for Germany. . He is a right winger though, certainly.

If we do sell Sterling I’d like Gnabry in! Still only 26 so like for like in terms of age too.

His stats for a winger are great - definitely knows where the net is - 67 goals in 156 appearances across Bayern & Germany NT, and plenty of those appearances will be with a b it of rotation.

While that's true, a lot of them are also where Bayern and Germany absolutely mauled opponents

Losing Gnabry especially with Lewandowski probably gone would be stupid, just very very stupid.

Also United need to genuinely rebuild the whole club, the culture and how it's going to look in the next 5 years to decade. I'd like to see some signings who are closer to 20 than 30 who'll become stalwarts of Ten Hag's next couple of teams.

Would absolutely love this. He is brilliant. Also a good age.

Can't see it but I think I'd prefer him over Antony.

What’s happening at Bayern, why do their best players want to leave all of a sudden?

What am I reading, there's no way your suggesting Gnabry is too old... You just can't be!

Only Lewandowski actively wants to leave, it seems. Gnabry would happily stay, but wants more money. It's an entirely self-made problem which stems from making Sané one of the top earners immediately with his signature for the club, which was always going to cause unrest among players longer at Bayern, especially other attackers performing the same if not better. Until this transfer window it also seemed the club's priority was extending with Neuer, Müller (both did), and Lewandowski (obviously did not), for what's certain to be a large chunk of Bayern's pay roll, rather than the younger players.

If he was to leave how much are we talking do you think?

I'll rather a forward under 25 years, our project is long term so I'll rather someone who peaks in say two years, Gnabry would be 27 when the season commence.

In terms of value for money, there is no better option this summer IMO.

Do you think Bayern will give him what he wants?

Yes he's quality and the price would be decent, but I want players making the step up, that's what SAF always did, same as Pep and Klopp.

I didn’t say he was too old no. But there’s nothing wrong wanting the club to target players closer to 20 than 30. Due to the amount of players leaving and that we need coming in.

No idea, and depending on how much it is exactly, I'm also not sure if it would be smart. As I said, it's a very stupid problem to have brought upon oneself. But I also think the ship on 'smart' wages at Bayern has sailed; our wages are among Europe's top 3 already, so obviously players' expectations are set and we pay or they leave.

I want him too but this is classic case of"use United for better contract". Even muppet in me doesn't have hopes for this

This more establish players want bigger wages, guarantees in term of playing time and have less motivation to prove themselves. Pep and Klopp avoided them while building their squad because they lessen the authority of the manager.
If Gnabry comes here it only for one reason more money.
