Semi-Finals: Italy vs Spain | England vs Denmark

The anti-English (of which there are many) will be all over that penalty decision from now until the end of time.
For me it’s more that English football has always been tough but fair kind of football. This kind of cheating is a disgrace.

Literally came on this thread to see the meltdown over Grealish going off

There must have been about 10 posters in the last few pages pretending that they've switched allegiance from England to Italy because of a penalty decision that was given by a non-English and verified by a non-English VAR panel.
Maybe because of all the disgusting diving?

Insult to Grealish but tbf it's bold from Southgate, as opposed to taking the easy option and subbing off someone who started. Plus Grealish had played pretty poorly, barely broke into a jog when he was on.

Every time he got the ball he ended up fouled. That's what England needs at this point

Says a guy who's likely watched and cheered on prime Klinnsmann.
You know you're morally in trouble when your desperate attempt at whataboutism has to go back into the last millenium

Imagine this place with that pen being awarded against united

We have. Although, amazingly, there are many who won’t hear a bad word about it. In this tournament we’ve generally been spared the bollox delays and stupid pedantry but that’s caused it to fail at its primary function. Basically it’s proved that there is no possible way this poxy thing can improve football.

Yep, we’ve laughed when the English refs have meant reviews take 10 minutes, but tonight is the flip side with a 2.4 second “nah it’s fine” review of a very blatant dive.

VAR is garbage.

Poulsen with the worst cameo ever? Has he done anything of note?

A goal that will go down in history as cheating. Has to beat Italy now to make up for it.

If Italy get a soft penalty like that on Sunday there will be uproar

A few fans will moan and then move on. What you are seeing now is people who have an anti-English bias and just cannot handle England doing well at anything, nor their fans celebrating it.

I'm sickened.

I had a great "wonder if Gareth will bring De Gea on for the penalties" joke lined up.
