Second Choice Keeper for United?

Ben Amos is 24 now. Thought he was younger than that. Johnstone seems to be very promising.

I always wanted Kasper Schmeichel but he's established now so there's no chance of that.
There have been reports that we're interested.

I'm not sure. He'll have the chance to join some really good clubs and probably become first-choice. Milan are reportedly very interested. On the other hand, he knows what he's got at Leicester. Guaranteed first-choice in the Premier League. I could see him staying for a year and showcasing his ability at the biggest stage.

However, he is most likely a massive United fan like is dad, and that may factor in if we were to approach him. He would probably be tempted but also ultimately probably decide that it's a bad choice for his career.

Bum young... Cant see many people asking for that on their shirt

How about Amos?

Never heard of him. I don't think I want another Young in our squad though, let alone a Bum.

Bum Young...not exactly sure that's marketable.

Of course not, this thread is just an excuse to say Bum-Young.

Would be interesting if you did sign him. You'd have a Bum-Young and a shit Young in the same side.

I haven't laughed so hard for ages. At first I thought this was a joke thread with a fake player until I saw the guy's photo. All I can say is, if it puts the frighteners on Ashley and causes him to leave the club, running to literally save his arse, then I'm all for it.

Peter said as much on SoccerAM. United is the dream for Kasper, but Leicester is without a doubt the best place for him now. He'd have to accept being number 2 as we're keeping Big Dave forever. Whereas he could easily have a long career as number 1 somewhere else.

> All.

kasper schmeichel would be a brilliant story. however he is always going to be number 2 to de gea and the way his career is going now, i'm sure he would end up as a number 1 keeper at a premiership club next season. reports that ac milan are interested is also a great news to here. because of that he is unlikely to consider a move to united even if he is a massive united fan. career comes first of course.

btw is this bum young guy korea's number 1 now?

and i think lindegaard is staying for another season at least.

I like this idea, if he doesn't work out as a keeper we can always play him in the hole.

Quite certainly given the fact he's currently first choice at Leicester and they have been promoted.

Johnstone seems certainly will go out on loan next season to a top Championship/lower PL club.I'm sure he'll be good enough for the second choice GK spot after that (I think he's already on par/better than Amos but he needs that experience). We also have Joei Pereira from U18s who is coming on nicely and already trained with the first team.I'll keep Amos around until they're both ready.
