Window shoppers can see more tonight at 6pm - Rayo Vs Atletico.

There's also the fun of guessing who will be in the crowd.

Well considering his on loan from Athletico... He probably wont be playing.

He's in today's match squad according to the manager.

It's not unusual for loan players in Spain to play against their parent club, it's usually just a contractual thing. Pedro Leon and Drenthe when they had loans from Real Madrid had specific clauses saying something like it would cost 100k extra for the loan if they wanted them to play against Madrid for example, but that's unusual.

In fact if he doesn't play tonight, I'd guess Atletico had recalled him anticipating a sale.

Saul's playing now. So is Koke.

Not seen Moyes yet!
Maybe this time he s undercover

Some claims in Spain that we've signed this lad. Never heard of him.

He played at centre-back last night and scored an own goal.
Though as it was in Atletico's favour maybe he was just giving his parent club a leaving present.

Hardly his fault, though? Costa touched the ball straight into his boot, that was a very difficult ball to defend.

Having said that Rayo looked all over the place defensively, which is to be expected as they're Rayo, played Atletico and relies on a 19-year old midfielder on loan from Atletico to shore them up.

Besides Xhaka he might be the closest thing to van Gaal's beloved Strootman.

Niguez could really benefit if they sell Koke instead

Considering our situation its no surprised why LVG wants him. As they say, in times of need, better call Saul

Not surprised with the rekindled interest in Niguez. We were really interested in him when David was incharge, infact Phil Neville took a scouting trip to watch him play for Vallecano as a defender, thus highlighting his versatility. The scouting staff has remained pretty consistent through the years, so Van Gaal could dig up plenty of notes on him.

Could play as a defensive midfielder, box to box or even as a part time defender in the mold of Javi Martinez. Both of them have a similar playing style and Saul would do well to reach that level. Wish we could sign both him and Oliver in one window. Between those 2, Ander, Blind and Di Maria that would be our midfield set for a while.

Not convinced he'll leave though. Just breaking into the first team, still very young, drawing some interest from Del Bosque for the national team, and Atletico are on an upward trajectory so why change clubs at a crucial point in his career ?

How big a talent is he?

It would be hard for us to sign Atletico players unless for big money given how good they are these days.
