Sander Berge

I like him but not really convinced that he will become elite yet. Unlike Ødegaard and Haaland, Berge requires one more stepping stone imo.

Needs to improve his passing and technical ability to operate at the highest level consistently. Spain or Italy would be perfect for his developement for 1-2 years.

I have been banging on about the signing of Berge for a long time now. He would instantly be our best midfielder after Pogba, and has a BIG potential. He has everything one would want in a player in that position. He also is a very bright, humble and professional young lad. The club he signs for will get a bargain.
Agree on all points.

I get your point, and you might be right. That said, Man Utd will not challenge anytime soon and we could be able to give young players a chance at this point and be such a stepping point. A bit like we did with a few young players in 2003-2006 (even if we where alot better back then).

He would be ace for us. Hope Ole is on the case. Huge talent.

He needs to improve/be consistent passing and close control, in addition to elements of his game that would improve his effectiveness in the final third (despite not being an attacking player currently). Italy and Serie A would suit his current game perfectly and he would likely improve some of the aforementioned aspects of his game there.

He would not get the opportunity to do this in the EPL or with our current coaching with little emphasis on technical ability and possession.

Considering our desperate need for midfielders, his nationality and low cost I’m very surprised we weren’t in for him! Would be a very solid squad option with the possibility of developing into a starter

Happy for him, good player and genuine good guy. Gave his all for Genk. Hope he continues the way of other Genk midfield graduates such as De Bruyne, Ndidi and Milinkovic-Savic.

Pleased with him today. Not being played where he is best on the pitch, but he seems to be adapting. High hopes for him.

Quite good today. But he was playing much advanced today on the right.

Very good game from Sander but ran out of steam at the end of the game I think. Sheffield could use a striker. Will be hard for them this season if they can not score goals.

He is very Matic like in the sense that he’s got the same build, but loves to play on the ball and has no issue carrying it a little. He’s extremely fast for his size, too. I think he’s a couple years off yet — It’s not typically a role you see a young player playing at the highest level. You’re normally groomed into it through experience and playing time in the position lower down.

He's the size of a tree but dribbles beautifully. Didn't realise there was a thread about him and so many people rated him.

He’s incredible, unstoppable when he goes forward

His playmaking credentials are a little underrated for a big, nominally defensive, midfielder. He carries the ball well as others have said and his passing isn't bad either. Sheffield United aren't clicking just yet, and maybe missing some top creative/attacking quality which is understandable, so at the moment we aren't seeing his very best.
